My Dad, the blogger…

Im burried in work, so while I am gone, I wanted to share with you a post my father made on his blog. For those of you who dont know, my father is a pastor here in our town. His blog is part of the church website, which he has been blogging on it for a while now. I thought this (and many of the others he has written) was wonderful!

Today there is more information about how to be a “Soul Winner” then ever in the history of the church. You can take your pick from Evangelism Explosion, Continuous Witness Training, The Four Spiritual Laws, Steps To Peace With God, Sharing Your Faith Without Fear and on and on and on. With all the “How To” training, the main problem remains the lack of “Want To” on the part of most Christians.

I have been trained, and have trained people in all the afore-mentioned systems of evangelism training, and have seen time after time, those who were trained, disappear, never to share what they have learned about “Soul Winning! WHY?

Most people do not want to be bothered with the lost, they do not care about the lost, they do not want to be associated with the lost. WHY?

Could it be that the vast majority of todays churches do not preach about compassion for reaching the lost, but rather the lastest, greatest “How To” steps to be a better person….(read more)

Stop by, leave him some comments and encourage him to post more often! You will bless him (and me) emensely!

Enjoy your weekend!

I am..

I am the baby born in Oklahoma to a drug dealing father and a missionary’s daughter
Who was an only child and loved every moment of it.
I am the child who played barbies and hungry hungry hippo at the same time.
Who loved singing and dancing
Who stored my dreams in my treasure box
Who dreamed of being a mom and never thought she would move out of her parents house

I am the teenager who was very insecure, yet popular
Who wore Girbaud Jeans and Pink Izod Lacoste Polo shirts and loved sports and hated cheerleaders.
Who dangled her legs out of the side of Becca’s Jeep and then almost fell out while turning into the school parking lot.
Who dreamed of marrying a rich doctor and knew she would drive a Saab.

I am the woman who married the man of her dreams at 19, and he wasn’t a doctor.
Who loves her life and her children and Savior fiercely
I am the mother who loves slobbery kisses and goes crazy if I am away from children for too long.
and whose moments of perfect bliss come when they snuggle up close to her.
I am the web designer who loves designing and avoids confrontation and who can create some pretty fantastic designs.

I am the woman who speaks her mind and shows grace to others and forgives, yet doesn’t always forget.
I am the person who is cautious at first and then becomes your closest friend.
I am the woman who still loves bubble gum and Saturday morning cartoons, but never gets to enjoy either often enough.
Who still longs to learn to be secure and content, and to listen to those around her when she doesnt have the answers she is looking for.

I am the person who dreams of a long life with my family and prays daily for healing of my daughter and is grateful for every moment, every single moment.

The woman who hopes that when it is all said and done, she has touched at least one life for eternity.
