Update 4/11 again at 3:45pm

Updates will be below

I just spoke to Heather on the phone. She received the radiologist report on the MRI. Her appointment with the neurologist has been pushed to this afternoon. After he saw her scans, he wanted to see her this afternoon instead. She does not have an appointment time. She is basically on call. When he gets out of his morning surgery, his office will call her and tell her to come in.

This is what the radiologist’s report said:

There is a mass in the left frontal lobe adjacent to the falx and incorporating the cingulate gyrus. It is exerting a mass effect on the interior corpus colosum. The mass is most consistent with a low-medium grade glioma.

I will keep you all updated. Please pray this afternoon as she meets with the neurologist.

*******************************Update at 12:15pm**************************

Her appointment with the neurologist is at 1:15pm.

*******************************Update at 3:45pm**************************

She has a brain tumor. It is inoperable. The doctor wants to do a brain biopsy to find out what kind of tumor it is. That will most likely be done next week. If the tissue comes back normal, they will do nothing except continue to watch it via MRI. If it comes back what abnormal, She will have radiation. And if the radiation does not work, she will begin chemotherapy. She has an ENT appointment at 4pm today (see sidenote) and an EEG in the morning. Here is a picture of the scan that she sent to me and gave me permission to post here —-> Click Here.

A cool side note: The dizziness is not related to the tumor. If she had not been dizzy, the tumor would not have been discovered. Go God, right?

Sweetie… We are all believing for a blessed miracle from our Heavenly Father.

Remember Job… he too had so much to experience. However, his obedience and faith gave him more blessings than he could of ever imagined. God knows every emotion you are feeling my sweet sister in Christ. Always seek him even when you may not have anything happy or positive to share.. he knows before you even speak.

I am so thankful you have the support and faith that surrounds you… it is a “Blanket of Love” from all over the world.

    Hi Heather,
I am sure you may not be ready for this today, but a day is coming soon when you will want this and I wanted to make sure it is available to you when that moment arrives. Apart from the Word of God I have found nothing better than this article by John Piper.

I am saddened that you need it but trust God to use it mightly.

I just found out via a couple of blogs this morning. I’ll be praying for you and your family through this difficult time.

See if you can find a copy of U.S. News & World Report from just a couple of weeks ago – the cover story is about Bernadette Healy, who had a glioma a few years ago. (I forget the specific type – I think hers was operable, but she had to do a lot of medications and so forth afterwards.) There’s a pretty good bit of medical information in it, and it may be of some help, if for nothing more than inspiration because she beat it.

    Chin up!

  16. Bethany says:

  17. Deborah says:

I wanted to correct the verse for this scripture I sent to you yesterday… James 1: 2-5… †††

Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of
    your faith develops perseverance.
    Perseverance must finish its work
so that you may be mature and
    complete not lacking anything.
    James 1:2-5

Gods Word has great power over anything the enemy may bring for a season.
