I just spoke to Heather on the phone. She received the radiologist report on the MRI. Her appointment with the neurologist has been pushed to this afternoon. After he saw her scans, he wanted to see her this afternoon instead. She does not have an appointment time. She is basically on call. When he gets out of his morning surgery, his office will call her and tell her to come in.
This is what the radiologist’s report said:
There is a mass in the left frontal lobe adjacent to the falx and incorporating the cingulate gyrus. It is exerting a mass effect on the interior corpus colosum. The mass is most consistent with a low-medium grade glioma.
I will keep you all updated. Please pray this afternoon as she meets with the neurologist.

She has a brain tumor. It is inoperable. The doctor wants to do a brain biopsy to find out what kind of tumor it is. That will most likely be done next week. If the tissue comes back normal, they will do nothing except continue to watch it via MRI. If it comes back what abnormal, She will have radiation. And if the radiation does not work, she will begin chemotherapy. She has an ENT appointment at 4pm today (see sidenote) and an EEG in the morning. A cool side note: The dizziness is not related to the tumor. If she had not been dizzy, the tumor would not have been discovered. Go God, right?

Heather, I am crying as I read all this. I haven’t checked in with you for a few days, or is it weeks?? I am so sorry you are all going through this. I am praying for you. and I am sitting here typing this crying for you.

I came over from Tiany’s blog. I’m so sorry about all that you and your dear family is struggling through. What a shock. I can only imagine the emotions whirling you around. I have had neurological symptoms myself recently and was afraid of just this type of thing, in my case it’s probable early MS. That came as a relief, and now I hear of a sweet young mother like yourself going thru this thing I was most afraid of and my heart is broken completely for you. I want you to know I am praying for you, for full recovery and for your precious family.

Heather, I just heard about this this morning and have just been able to get here to read about what’s been going on. I don’t even know what to say. It seems so unfair to have this happening to you. Hi Heather, Here thru Karen’s blog Troll Baby, which I only recently started visiting. There is not a lot I can say, not knowing you at all, than that I wish you and your family lots of strength from over at the other side of the globe.

I just spoke with you and read Laura’s update. I plan to keep coming here to be updated and to let you know that I am with all those other people who are thinking about you and praying for you. I encourage everyone to keep doing the same and flood you and your family with prayers, good wishes and ongoing support. This is a time when the internet can and should be utilized.As you know I don’t blog but I will email everyone I know and ask them to pray for you. Remember there are so many people who are praying for you and keeping you in their thoughts. Those people CARE about you and know that God is watching over you. Okay, I just looked at the scan. I don’t care what anyone thinks, I am going to be bold. That brain scan shows a tumor and I believe that in days to come, there will be another post with two brain scans. One will have the tumor, one will not! In Jesus name!!!
