I still believe

I had this long post written out… but then this song came on and holy cow the tears just wont stop.

This is my heart, guys. This is my heart.

Scattered words and empty thoughts
Seem to pour from my heart
I’ve never felt so torn before
Seems I don’t know where to start
But its now that I feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don’t see, I still believe

Though the questions still fog up my mind
With promises I still seem to bear
Even when answers slowly unwind
It’s my heart I see you prepare
But its now, that I feel, your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don’t see, I still believe

Well the only place I can go is into your arms
Where I throw to you my feeble prayers well in brokeness
I can see that this was your will for me
Help me to know that you are near

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don’t see, I still believe

Hi, Heather. I found your blog last night while I wasn’t sleeping. I read BooMama’s blog and learned about your diagnosis there.

We don’t “know” each other in the bloggy way. But I am praying for your healing.

Back when He formed the Earth, the Lord knew you would be facing this now. He’s bigger than this and will use this to glorify Himself. Look for Him to reveal His power and glory and pure AWESOMENESS to you and your family.

We look forward to hearing good news from you soon.

    Heather,
I have been praying for you. I woke up this morning at 3:00 and could not go back to sleep because my heart was aching for you and your family. I went before the Lord on your behalf and will continue to do so until you are through this valley. Keep strong, hold on tight girl… you are not alone.
    Blessings

    Lord,
I ask today that you would come down over Heather and her family. Hold them close to your heart father. Hold them as they walk on this new water! Father you did not just come to this earth to die for us but you bore stripes upon your back to heal us. I ask father that your healing power come upon Heather. I ask that you heal her completely father. What the enemy meant for harm, that you would turn around for good. That your name would be even more glorified through this process.
    In Jesus name! Amen

Heather ~ You don’t know me. I am very new to MOG. But please know that you and your family are in my prayers. I’m in tears now as I’m struggling with so many things in my life right now, but seeing you cling to your faith in this most awful diagnosis has inspired me to embrace my circumstances and move forward. May you be blessed… and may you live long on the earth.

    Hi Heather,
I heard about you today through my daughter who home schools her two children.

I was diagnosed with a rare cancer 3 years ago and I receive my care at Mayo Clinic. You will get the best care there! It is such an amazing place!

I wanted to let you know I’ll be keeping you in my prayers but also to let you know about a couple of things that may help you financially. We just learned about Angel Flight this past year. They will fly you to Mayo Clinic and back free of charge. Plus you can stay at Hope lodge free of charge since you are getting treatment for cancer there.

The link for Angel Flight is;http://www.angelflight.com/

    and the link for the Rochester Hope Lodge is;
    http://www.cancer.org/docroot/COM/content/div_Midwest/COM_11_2x_Hope_Lodge_in_the_Midwest.asp

We went through everything we had in savings, second mortgage and end up in bankruptcy due to medical bills over 3 years so I know the financial strain. I hope these links will help you.

If you have any questions about Mayo Clinic or Angel Flight please don’t hesitate to write. I’ve made 19 trips to Mayo in just over 3 years so we know the place well!

You can reach me at MiladyChristina@gmail.com if you have any questions at all.

Again you and your family will be in my prayers!

I’m believeing with you, and your faith through this has inspired and humbled me.

They say that when you get squeezed is when you really find out what’s in you because it comes oozing out- well girl- it’s quite evident that you are full of your God and His truth!

I just found your blog and read briefly of your story. A friend of mine is a mother of three small children and was diagnosed six months ago with a brain tumor. She has undergone surgery and radiation so far. Her story can be found here http://www.welovekaren.blogspot.com

I just thought you might like to read of a similar story.

    May God bless,

Some songs, such as this one, evoke such powerful emotions when we listen to them. I’ve never heard this song until just now but I can see why it speaks to your heart and soul.

    I still believe!

You remain in my prayers, Heather!

    Heather,

We’ve been out of town for the weekend, and I’m just catching up on how you’ve been doing. So glad to read how God’s using music to touch your heart and allow you to express those emotions.

This song has always inspired me, and I am believing right along with you.

    Heather:

Your response was unbelievable gracious - much more than what I could have managed. I know you are likely being bombarded with sites to read and such, but, just wanted to share some amazing encouragement from this wonderful lady who had all of the odds against her - but, God is so much bigger than odds! If you get a moment:

She’s an amazing lady, just as you are!! So encouraging!

Isn’t that song an encouragement? I’m sure Jeremy Camp didn’t know how many hearts he would strengthen when he wrote it. (And he himself wrote it at such a dark and painful moment in his own life.) But that’s how it is with our God. He is completely trusth-worthy. Even when we don’t understand.

Praying for you, Heather — even though we’ve never met. I live near Mayo. If there’s anything I can do for you while you are here, please let me know. It would be a gift for me to extend God’s hands of grace in this way.

I would love to hear from you!
