—Blank Stare—

Kelli and I were talking about this earlier this afternoon- Its an amazingly humbling experience, watching so many people give of themselves in order to bless you. I am amazed. I am in awe. I am so humbled.

I cant form the words, but my heart has so much to say. Thank you for caring about me. Thank you for loving my family. Thank you for standing in the gap for us.

I keep picturing the huge grin on Jesus’ face right now as he watches so many believers come together and take a stand in his name.

I stated this earlier, but it bears repeating:

What satan intends for my harm, Jesus will use for His glory.

I cant tell you how much this financial blessing means to us. I cant tell you the burden it has lifted off of my little family here in small town Florida. But more than anything, I cant tell you how much each and every one of you have touched us in ways you will never ever ever ever understand. No words will ever be able to express that.

So picture my entire family wrapping our arms around you, weeping and wiping snot all over your pretty shirts…. because your generosity has blessed our socks off.

Unbelievable.

God is good, isnt He? So very good.

Edited to add: Leigh asked how I was feeling, physically. The dizziness is almost gone, although I am still very careful when getting up and turning my head. Sometimes it still feels like the floor is falling out from under me (or the bed, if I am sleeping) The ENT specialist said that should subside in the next week or so… and then I will start “rehab” for my inner ear (Excercises to retrain my equalibrium).

Heather, Although we have never met, I have been blessed and challenged by reading Emma’s story and now, your own. I am tempted to ask the Lord, “How much is one family supposed to handle?” and yet I also realize that your faith and joy through these circumstances is bringing glory to Him in an amazing way. May He strengthen, bless, and protect you and your family today and in the days ahead. Thank you for your faithfulness.

    Heather,
We’ve blessed you? No way…YOU - YOU - YOU have blessed us!!!! I am encouraged, inspired, and so many other words I can’t even think of. Reading about you and all you have endured - all your family has endured - and then reading how faithful you are through it all…WOW!!! It was a blessing for my family to help and it is a blessing for my family to say prayers for you and yours every day. It is a blessing to come on here and read your uplifting thoughts, even when things seem so dark you are seeing the light in it all - you are amazing and I only wish I could be HALF the woman you are. The tears pour down my face just thinking about it. I don’t even know you, but sister, I love you - may God continue to do mighty things in your life!

It is a privilege to be a part of what God is doing here, Heather. We give Him all the Glory!! May His name continually be praised.

What we’ve all been able to do today is so tiny in comparison to what God is doing.

Heather, you (just by being you) remind me each and every day that we serve a big God, and if He can sustain and carry you — certainly He can handle the little things that I face each day.

    Hi Heather,

I am just one of the many other people you do not know. I just started reading your blog last week. I just want you to know that I see, hear and feel GOD all over you. I can imgaine him putting his arms around you and loving and comforting you. Every time I read your posts I get big tears welled up in my eyes. I am not crying for you because you have a tumor. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want you to have it but I cry because you get it. You get GOD. You make me want to shout praises to him. You know that everything is going to be alright as you said no matter what happens. That is the way we should all be. Yeah none of us want to go through the hard times but it’s how we handle ourselves when we do. When we claim to be Christians all through the good times it’s the hard times when people really pay attention to what we say, how we act. And not only once but twice you have shown, spoken and believed and put your trust in GOD for the world to see. You are a great teacher of the word and a great example of how we should live our lives through GOOD and HARD times. You are an inspiration, blessing and refreshing person. I pray I could handle the situations you have been in as well as you have. I will continue to cry with you, pray with you and rejoice with you. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. (I know this is long but you don’t have to post it in your comments its just something I had to share.)

I want to share your story with everyone I know…I really do. You remind me of the lady who leads our Bible study…she has been through SO MUCH in her 50 year walk with the LORD. Just right now, her daughter & 13-year old grandson are battling cancer. The doctors have said that the boy will probably die from his. And yet she is full of joy. She doesn’t like the circumstances, but she loves Jesus, and He has just filled her so much.

If you want to, she made a Myspace page, and you can contact her. I guarantee that she will pray for you if you ask, and love on you. I don’t know if that will help, but it’s just been on my heart for some reason. What a blessing that so many came out to support you yesterday. I don’t know you but you’re in my prayers. I hope the Mayo Clinic can bring you some good answers or at least some relief from the pain you are suffering with.

What? You think we did this for you? Ffffpt. Girl, we did this to give God some glory; you just happened to be the means by which we could do it… this time.

So glad that you and your family will be utterly blessed with this gift. Relax, take a deep breath and know that God has everything covered from money to health to peace.

I’ve never commented on your blog, but have been following your story since the onset of your diagnosis. I am praying for a total healing of your body, and God will be glorified through this. Seems you’ve got others asking “God-size questions” and He’s giving you the answers. Thanks for being faithful, and sharing your real feelings, and how God is ministering to you.

I pray through this, God meets some of your financial needs, so you can get a breath…….

    You are loved in Indiana.

    Heather and Family,
You are in my continued prayers. Jesus has a HUGE smile of His face. All of the donations have been for His Glory. I too will donated what I can. Remember He gives us no more than we can handle. Right now His arms are around you and his love is among you. I truly believe that what you are going thru is a testament to us all. A HS friend of mine has a daughter that I wish you to read about, she nearly died several times and thru faithful prayer from lots of people and HIS faithfulness and loving she is at home getting better day by day. here is the link : http://www.carepages.com

It has been a blessing just to witness your faith. Your ability to continue to honor God throughout this is humbling. Very, very humbling.

Your attitude is truly inspirational. It is wonderful to see so many people rally. We want to help, even if we don’t know you and know nothing about curing tumors. But we do know how to support people, pray for them, and encourage them. So, that’s what we will do. I send my love from Utah.

Heather, I am so encouraged and blessed by your faith and witness here. I’ve been reading some posts around blogland and I am amazed at how God is working through your experience, and your blogging, to touch other people. I’m praying for you, my family and friends are praying for you, and I know that God holds you in his hand. It is a very, very safe place to be.
