24 hours..
May 2, 2007
Today will be spent with family. Tomorrow’s updates will come as soon as Mark receives word from the surgeons. Laura will be updating for us through out the day, and Mark hopes to be able to update tomorrow night- depending on how things go. I do not have a surgery time as of yet. I will find that out late tonight. I have been asked to be at the hospital at 6:30am tomorrow for prep and an MRI so, I would assume that I am the first surgery of the day (which I am thankful for, steady hands and an alert doctor are good things when it comes to brain surgery)

I would love to hear from you!

So glad you are nearing the surgery, so you can get past it.
Can you let us know (or have someone else do it) when your surgery time is narrowed down? Do they have any idea how long it will take? I’m guessing not.
Praying, praying. Praying today your day is blessed and your heart is calm in Jesus. May He give you strength and peace through His own Arms around you, and through your family. I’ll update our church prayer chain, that tomorrow is the day.
We’re praying for you Heather. May God give you and your entire family peace.
Dana
PRAYING for so many details. Praying you through surgery tomorrow. THANKING God for your walk, your faith, your testimony before us. And btw Heather, that photo of you is a BEAUTIFUL point of reference as we pray. I’ll be looking for updates and thinking of you and praying for you tomorrow, (((Heather))).
Psalm 59:16 But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Blessings,
~Toni~
Continuing in prayer, and my Tuesday morning Bible study group is praying for you too - that makes about 15 ladies I know of in the Tulsa Metro area.
May God be glorified in this - no matter what happens. Blessed be His Name.
You look well rested and at peace. Great picture! ;)
I haven’t signed up for Kelli’s prayer chain, but it (obviously) a great idea!!
Know that you’re covered in prayer at all hours, and some extras in between for folks like me who lift you up to the Father every time we think of you, which is *often*! :)

I hope you have the most wonderful day with your family! We are beginning to pray already, but specifically I am signed up for 2 pm tomorrow on Kelli’s prayer chain, which I guess will be 3p for you. Either way, I’m already praying for God to be right there in that room with you the entire time. I already know He will because he NEVER leaves us! NEVER! Blessings to you this day, tomorrow and always…and I am praying today that the fears just go away so you can be fully in the moment with your parents, hubby, kids and friends. God Bless!
This Alaskan mama is praying for you.

I will be praying for you Heather! Enjoy this time with your family. Thank you for sharing yourself with us all! Glory to God for your life!
I’m another one of your Boomama readers. I’m praying for you and your family, Heather, and I can hardly find words to tell you what an inspiration you are. What a beautiful display of God’s glory in the midst of this trial. He’s up to something HUGE! It’s so evident that the handprints of God are all over this situation that it gives me goosebumps!
I’ll be looking forward to praise reports tomorrow!
You’re A Blessing!
Roni
Heather,
I sent out a mass email yesterday to all my friends and family linking them to your blog, sharing your heartwarming story and asking them to keep you and your family in their prayers (especially tommorrow morning). Tommorow when you are preparing for surgery, lean on the Lord (I know you will) and I hope you have peace knowing you literally have people all over the world praying for you.
We love you guys,
Julie from Kentucky
Prayers are going up on your behalf literally all over the country, maybe even the world! God is good, all we have in this life comes from His generous hands. He ALWAYS protects His children.
I remember how Moses was hidden in the cleft of the rock as God’s glory passed by him. You too likewise are hidden, as HIS glory passes before YOU.
“Merciful, loving Father, extend your hand of protection, wisdom, guidance & comfort tomorrow. Better yet, let the MRI before the surgery show that every trace of this tumor is removed. As Jesus prayed in the Garden before His time of trial, “Not my will Father but yours.”
Connie in Texas
Just found your blog- very inspiring….
You know He is the one to lean on. You know He is the support you have always had. You know He is who will guide the surgeons tomorrow. You know He has surrounded you and your family with His love- it shows in you and He does speak through you!
You and your family and the surgeons are in my prayers.
You and your family are in my prayers. I am so thankful that your hope, healing, and faith rests in God! Your testimony is amazing - I believe God will continue to use it touch and reach others.
Hugs and prayers,
~Jada
Heather,
As I read your posts, I see that music really speaks to you, often saying what is already felt in the heart. I am the same way. God has given you a thankful heart, and I wanted to honor that in you today. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, you have chosen to claim the Truth that sets you free - it’s a beautiful thing. I wanted to share a song with you - I couldn’t find a video of it, or even a full song online, so I will just post the lyrics. It’s a favorite of mine: “Thankful” by Jill Phillips from her “God and Money” album (http://www.jillphillips.com/songs#). I hope it speaks to your heart as it does mine. Know that you are being prayed for, lifted up and covered, even as you read.
“Thankful”
Even when pieces are neatly in place
A skip in my step and a smile on my face
Still I have things that I cannot escape
And I’m just so thankful for you
Here in a world where each day brings a change
One little move and our lives rearrange
But I can still cling to your words on a page
And I’m just so thankful for you
The love flows free that you dearly paid
I got off cheap and you took the blame
There’s only one thing I can say
I’m thankful
Time marches quickly and seasons pass by
As the world we created just seems to unwind
But I look beyond to a much better life
And I’m just so thankful for you
You held me close when I pushed away
To let me know you were there to stay
There’s only one thing I can say
For the ways that you care
For the ways that you love
For the ways that you are
I’m thankful
I don’t deserve you
I never will
I don’t deserve you
I’m thankful
Blessings, hugs and prayers,
Jen
Have a wonderful day with your family knowing that we’ve got your back in prayer. Your burden is carried to the Father by many and the faith that tomorrow will be full of surprises is great.
Heather, I have been following your story and checking for updates daily. You have been an incredible inspiration to me and you have challenged my faith in so many ways! I have prayed for you so many times and will continue to pray for you, your family, and your medical team~especially tomorrow! Please know you are being lifted up by an incredible amount of people all over this country! God is in control and His hand is all over this! You have truly been a blessing to me! Love, Brandi in Utah
Matthew 6 :34
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Enjoy your family. may laughter surround you.
Because of Jesus, Bobbie
You and your family are in my prayers. May God give you all strength, comfort and peace as only He can.

There’s strenght in numbers and I am adding myself to the many that will be praying for you. I hope all goes well.
You and your family remain in our faithful prayers. I read this article today and found it so encouraging. If you have time, check it out. http://www.crosswalk.com/spirituallife/11539578/

praying
I came from Amy’s blog and just wanted to tell you that I’ll be praying for a successful surgery. Take care and God bless.
Wow, Heather- I’ve been out for a week so I just now caught myself up with all of your news. I’m so thankful for the hope in all of this, and will be praying for you as you go in tomorrow!
I saw your picture and I cried. Cried because I wish I could hug you. I know you are okay and you will be fine but I just wish I could take all of this away and make it all better. Today is one of those when I draw on your faith and all that you have shared with me. Enjoy the day, your family and know I am hugging you and praying for you.
I have you on the prayer list at my church. (((HUGS))) to you. We love you and most important, God loves you!
Praying for you Heather and for your family!
Dear Mark and Heather,
Not an hour goes by that the Lord doesn’t put you on our hearts over and over again. My husband (who doesn’t use the computer because of physical problems) asks me all the time to check and see if there is anything from you on your blog.
God answers prayer. We have prayed for peace, we have prayed for the doctors, and we are praying for a miracle.
You are covered in prayer. We send you much love.
Continually praying for you!
My heart smiles as I think of how many times our Father has heard and will be hearing your name. I am so thankful for the many prayer warriors gathered in your name here.
Sending you peace, hugs, and comfort.
Love, Michelle
I’ve been out of pocket the past few days, but you and your precious family have continually been in my prayers. May the God of all comfort hold you close to His heart this day. May Jesus be ever-present throughout the next days. I will especially be praying for Mark and your parents tomorrow as they wait.
Praying too, for the doctors and their precision as they operate tomorrow, dear Heather. Sending love and peace.
I’m praying at this very moment that God will give you and your family peace and comfort as you undergo the surgery. Praying for the doctors to have wisdom and success in what they hope to accomplish. Most of all, I’m praying for your healing.
God bless.
I am humbled by your bravery in the face of such adversity.
You are in my prayers.
Just came to your site this morning (from shenuts.com to Parent Dish to here)
Looking forward to reading the updates tomorrow that will ultimately Glorify God and His love for us.
LOVED listening to the songs/Youtubes you had on here - cried like a baby, ….. for you, for me (currently wondering if the nodule they found in my right breast is nothing or something), for my MIL, who is going in for major surgery next Monday…
God is good, I will have Joy despite my circumstances here on earth - sounds like you have that attitude too :)

I just felt like the Lord wanted me to give you this verse - hold on to it - He will not fail you! I’m praying….
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
I’ll be praying for you, Mark, the kids, your doctors and your family members.
I admire your strength and faith so much.
Blessings~
He has you in His hands. More prayers from the UK from lots of people.
Heather,
I’m praying for you as you head into surgery tomorrow.
You’ve done a great job of sharing the reason for your hope over the last few weeks! I am certain that lives are being changed for eternity because of what you have written and shared here.
How awesome that you have shared both your fears and your hope. You didn’t surgar-coat the situation, yet you’re still able to trust God and live your life with an undersurrent of joy. What a testimony to those who haven’t yet found the source of that joy, but who are seeking for it!
I am praying that God continues to create a powerful testimony of His love, grace, mercy, and power through your life.
Remember the scene from It’s a Wonderful Life, where it shows the earth, and you hear all of those prayers going up for George Bailey? That’s what’s happening for you right now, sweet sister! Pretty encouraging, huh?
I’ll be waiting to read the updates to come. One thing I am certain of - God is on the move!
Love in Christ,
Krista
Good luck, I will lite a candle for you
I’ll be praying for you and your family. God bless you.
Continuing to pray.
I can imagine you just want to get on with it now. I am praying for you and your family daily. You are in great hands!
Blessings,
Julie
Lifting you up and passing you on…so many prayers coming your way.
God will continue to bless you…and keep you.
Still praying.
You are in our prayers.
I am a brain tumor survivor–it’s been 18 years already since my surgery–and I’m so glad I happened upon several sites today to learn of your condition, Heather. I am praying.
God’s purpose for you is not yet fulfilled. I have FAITH that you will continue to minister for many, many years to come after tomorrow’s surgery.
Prayers continue-tonight, tomorrow, and for many morrows to come.
I will be praying for you!
You have been such an inspiration to me and will continue to be I’m sure.
God bless you,
Jonna
we will be right here praying!!
The song that keeps going through my mind today is LeeAnn Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” “when given the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.” You and Emma Grace dance all day today; laugh, love, play, go find a puddle and splash everywhere. You and your family will be number one on the prayer request hot line this week. Hang tough; you can do this!
We’ll see you soon, Heather.
Praying and will continue…
Praying…
You will be covered in love and prayers. Our God is an awesome God and He will not let us down.
Love and hugs,
Mark and Heather:
This is the day the Lord has made and tomorrow is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Our prayers for you today are that you experience his very present help throughout the day and His great mercies that were new today and will be new in the morning as you prepare for surgery. Mark and Heather, you are loved by the Ragland’s. See you soon, friends! Mae Beth, Chuck, Matt, Neil, Laura, Mark, Sarah, Morgan and Casey
I will be thinking of you tomorrow. How awesome is that - God’s love - God’s touch - that literally hundreds of people have you in their thoughts, right at this moment. So many people will pause tomorrow and close their eyes, hope for you…or look up into the Heavens and feel His light shine for you. God’s love is so overwhelming. Bless you and your whole family.
Praying, Praying, Praying! Be strong, Heather, we love you!
I, too, am praying the effective prayer of faith that will make the sick person well(James 5:14-16) I am believing the LORD will raise you up!
Heather,
I hope you read this before tomorrow. I have been reading your blog for quite some time but haven’t posted. Today, I MUST post this…
I’ve been reading a book by Jim Cymbala called “Fresh Faith.” The entire book is powerful and amazing, but at one point (pg. 121) he describes your faith by stating “But the persistent faith that holds onto God, enduring all the various situations of life no matter how difficult-that is something we need to ask God for more and more.” YOU ARE THAT PERSON, Heather!! Bless your precious heart, YOU ARE THAT WOMAN OF GOD!!! And here’s another comment he said (p134), “Instead of exalting Jesus, who came as a spiritual physician for the sick and unlovely, we are busy rehearsing all the commandments of God, as if that alone would change a single soul. We are giving people only the law, when what they crave is the love and grace of God.” Sweetie, you ARE exalting JESUS, throwing out seeds of what the lost crave-the love and grace of God. You are giving so much more than just the law, you are showing us how to be the saints that are made in His image every single day, glorifying Him in ALL things. You have blessed so many lives, more than you will ever imagine and God is rising from His throne clapping with loud applause and singing praises over your precious soul. Your life is a testimony to His goodness and greatness and your spirit is a testimony to His faithfulness. Praise His Name!
Praying for you Heather!!
Go in faith my sweet sister.
He looks so good in you!
Praying…
Heather,
I have never signed before, but have read your site for weeks. I send my love and prayers. How your courage has touched me.
Teresa
Shreveport, La
I’ll be praying too.
I was struck by how much that picture looked like the one of Easton called “Easton’s smile”. What a resemblence! Anyway, that’s just a side note. I’ll be praying for you!
I “found” you through Fiddledeedee. You are an amazing lady…my dh and I prayed for your recovery last night and that the brain tumor would detach and just ‘lift’ off. I believe God wants to HEAL you…I have been listening to the many beautiful and they have caused tears to gush. I love your spirit, your courage, your open heart.
May God pour His healing presence on you as you are operated on tomorrow am.
~C
duh…that is, I’ve listened to the beautiful worship SONGS you have posted…:-)

Praying. Believing. Faithing. Yes. It’s a verb.
Someone else praying for you!
All right girl - let’s get this done! Just wanted to share a scripture:
Guard my life and rescue me. Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in YOU. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in YOU. Psalm 25:20-21
Thank you Heather for representing us Christians well. I believe your integrity and uprightness will protect you. And I believe your hope in Christ will bring you through successfully to the other side of this.
I am praying for you!
Heather I will be praying for you and your family. I know that God will guide the hands of this great medical team, that He will provide peace and comfort to all those who love you. But most importantly, He will hold your hand and wrap you in a warm blanket of love and calmness every step of the way. You are not alone.
Praying for you, Heather. I look forward to a very positive update. So many thoughts are with you… so many.
Heather, you and your entire family are on my heart and in my prayers 24/7. I think of you when I wake up and I think of you before I go to sleep…It’s just a constant thing.
I’ve got you on my blog in Northern California, and I’m getting emails and comments that people are praying for you…my husband told me today that he read about you and will be praying for you…
At our Bible study tonight, you’ll be at the top of our prayer list…
We love you, Heather…all of you…and my heart is with your mom right now…please, if you read this, tell her Deena is praying especially for her right now…
You’ll be in my prayers.
Many blessings.
Heather, I laid hands on your precious picture and prayed for you. I’m asking God for His impossible peace to cover you and your family. I am so sorry you’re going through this. I pray you are aware of God’s presence every second from now until the sun goes down tomorrow.
I’m praying for you Heather…God is singing over you this whole time…KNOW that!
With love in Him,
Holly
We’ll be praying.
Hi Heather,
It was great to meet you on Monday and hear about your precious family. We at Berean are praying for you and them, and can’t wait to see what God will do for you.
Becky
I too will be praying for you, your family, and all of the people taking care of you.
Praying for you and your whole family.
Praying that God gives you peace that passes all understanding!! Love, Lisa in Texas = )
I lift you up before my prayer closet doors even close. Throughout the day, your name is lifted high to our loving Father who already knows my prayer before I utter it. When I blink, and move my hand, when I taste food and walk to the sink…when I do all these things that I daily take for granted I am asking God to please preserve these abilities for you.
I am praying over the hands of the surgeons, the watchful eyes of the anesthesiologists, the tender care of the nurses tomorrow as they take you into their care.
You are loved. You are watched over. You are on your way to putting this behind you. I praise God for the strength He has given you and your family and the strength that is to come in the days ahead.
Faithfully anticipating the good news that you are in recovery. And smiling as your eyes open.
Heather~~You go get that brain all cleaned out!!(well, maybe not all, just the mass)lol
And we will be praying for you and your family as Jesus holds both your hands tomorrow.I bet he would even cradle you in his loving arms, if you wanted that. Can’t wait to see you back at Moms Of Grace and here on your bloggity!!!!!
“Be courageous! Have FAITH! Go forward!â€

Heather, you are being prayed for by many in South Texas!
You have God on your side. There’s an army of love, prayer and support behind you as you fight this battle!
Love&blessings,
Heather Marks
Heather,
All of my prayers and thoughts are with you. I hope you can feel the love and prayers surrounding you. I can’t wait to see how well the surgery goes! What a beautiful picture of you.
My family and I are praying for you, Heather! Jesus, we trust in Thee ….
Father God,
Guide the hands of those who will be operating on Heather tomorrow…be with her husband, her parents, her boys, and her Emma. Thank you so much for being there for her. I ask for success in this surgery, Lord. What success means is up to you. We trust YOU, Lord, not the doctors, to get this right. You are a good God, and I ask that you would keep Heather and her family on our hearts through this.
In Jesus Name, AMEN!
I have been listening to the music again, and thinking of you, Heather. It is nearly Thursday here already. I am sending you lots of love and prayers. Again.
I was impacted by Connie’s prayer (comment #32), and I agree with that prayer! Jesus, I pray that you would remove every trace of this tumor that the doctors would have to declare this a “spontaneous remission”! As I was praying for you Heather, Acts 20:9-12 came to my mind. I believe this is God’s promise to you and your family. That even though you have seen death’s door, and faced it, the Lord is going to restore you - this is not unto death. Verse 12: “And they took away the boy/Heather alive, and were greatly comforted.” That is His word to you. Be blessed and greatly comforted by His presence. Amen.
My continual prayers are being sent up for you and your family.
I know from my cancer surgery at Mayo that you’ll be in good hands. The rest is in the hands of God. I pray that you have a swift recovery with no permanent side effects. I know HE is watching over you and will continue to do so as you go through your surgery and recovery.
Blessings!
Praying for you and your family, Heather.
Dear Heather,
I am praying for you and will be all day tomorrow. I pray that God will give you a calm spirit before and after the surgery. I am praying not only for you but for all of your family. Have a restful night doing something you love that relaxes you! Still lifting you up in my prayers daily!
Molly (:

Praying hard here! I am in awe and amazed by your faith and endurance
Oh, Heather! So many wonderful comments! I’m so looking forward to see what God does. I want the MRI to show NOTHING. I’m praying now and all day tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear good news. GOD news!
Will be praying for you!
Prayers to you and your family, your medical team, and for slow, steady, calm, healing, loving, beautiful days ahead.
Dear Heather,Praying,praying,praying.
Bambie in Texas
all the best, Heather.
Praying for you Heather…
I am keeping you close to my heart and in my prayers. You are in His hands.
Praying for you and your family.
My 5 children attend a Catholic School on the property of our Catholic church. Today I went to carpool early. Got out of my car, went into church to pray for you. As I prayed at the alter, I asked God to be with your doctors, with you and your family. I know you are going to be fine. My very best for a speedy recovery. Godspeed, Heather!
Fondly,
Dawn
Praying with all of my heart!
Praying…
Waiting to rejoice with you.
You’re in the best hand, God’s hand!
Dear Heather…You don’t know me but if you could page through my prayer journal you would find your name. I have carried you to the throne of grace and requested our Father to heal you and make you whole and well. I have cried out to Him for a miracle that would obliberate that foriegn mass from your brain without surgery and leave only healthy tissue. I have asked Him to explode His glory over your life and cause people to take notice of what Jehova Rapha is doing .I have prayed that men and women who have spent their lives acquiring medical wisdom and knowledge would be brought to the brink of their human understanding and allowed to peer over the edge into the boundless depths of His sovreign power, and yet my understanding is so small as to the circumstances God allows into our lives to bring forth good even when it does not seem good at all. So should that tumor still be there in the morning and surgery go on as planned,I pray Our God will be in control of every procedure that you undergo and God Himself will do the surgery using the human hands of the Surgeon. Will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.
sending prayers
may the doctors hands be steady and true
and may God watch over you
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
Psalm 121:1
Praying for you tomorrow morning. Love and prays from the hills of southern Ohio.
Terri
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! God is a miracle worker. Keep the faith!
Lifting you up before the Great Physician!
Heather,
I was just driving to pick up my daughter and once again I found myself at the foot of the Throne praying for you. This song by Selah came on the radio and I added it to my prayers for you…
Be Thou Near To Me
Jim Brickman feat. Selah
O, Lord I come with heart here open
For in my hour of darkness I may be
Seeking the joy of love unspoken
O, Lord be Thou near to me
And the holy voices sing hallelu..
Ever will thy reign be
As I wander through this life
O, Lord be Thou near to me
Though in this burden of my making
Yet in the shadows still a light I see
Maker whose love is not forsaken
O, Lord be Thou near to me
And the holy voices sing hallelu..
Ever will thy reign be
As I wander through this life
O, Lord be Thou near to me
dawn
I can’t imagine what your going though right now - as I type this, fear, love, hope, faith, glory - frankly I cant imagine it, you are in my every prayer!
I am praying for all of you sweet lady! May God guide the doctors and other professional through this surgery and your recovery. You are in my thoughts and my heart!
I wanted to stop by tonight and let you know that you and your family are in our hearts and prayers. We will be praying for the Lord to guide the hands, minds and hearts of all the physicians, nurses, labs and any one else that you come in contact with.
You are an amazing child of God!
Serving Him,

so many prayers… so much love!!! i am reading through these comments, in tears, praying, waiting for tomorrow to come and for Mark and Laura to tell us everything went great! It is amazing what God has done in your life - all of it - and now your faithfulness here in this terrifying time.
I wish I could give you a real hug - but I would be bawling so that wouldn’t be good… but I guess you are all very familiar with bawling right now.
Love you!! {{{HUGS}}}

You’re almost through it, Heather. Your strength and faith continue to amaze so many and I, personally, thank God for your inspiration.
I usually go to bed at about the time that you will be going through your MRI, etc. so I count it an honor to use that time of my night to pray for you, and pray you into a successful surgery!

Today is the National Day of Prayer! How awesome is that?!?
Lord, be with Heather today and give her family an opportunity to share Your love with those they encounter. Give them tangible reminders that You are with them today!

Thank you so much for your testimony of faith. You have ministered to me so much. I pray God holds you in His hands today and carries you safely through this.
Heather, I’ve been praying for you all through last night and this morning since I woke up.
Thank you so much for your testimony of faith. You have ministered to me so much. I pray God holds you in His hands today and carries you safely through this.
Keeping you and your family and the medical team close in thought and prayer throughout the surgery and your recovery.
My heart has been hard and stone-cold for years, and I don’t even remember the last time I prayed. But I’m praying today…
You don’t know me, Heather, but you have touched me in ways you will never, ever know. And although I’m sure you’ve touched hundreds of others, I honestly believe (after having come to “know” you through your words) that if you knew I were the ONLY one whose heart you had touched you would be REJOICING! That is so powerful…
So be at peace today knowing that you have done what you set out to do…You have borne witness to the incomprehensible and unfailing love of Jesus Christ. And that your life has had meaning…if for no other reason (and I am humble enough to know that there are MANY other reasons!) than that you found one of God’s lost children…and started her on the path that leads back Home.
God bless you and your family, Heather, and grant you peace and healing. I will be praying for you…
Praying last night, this morning, and whenever I feel I should throughout the day.
HUGS

And to Paige: Hallelujah! I rejoice with the angels for your return. JoY! Joy!

Praying and wondering and thinking of you…
Heather,
Watching your page every few minutes waiting for the updates. We are in prayer for you, your family, the surgeons and everyone involved in your care. Passing the word along to everyone I know to say a special prayer for my friend I’ve never even met :)
We love you,
Julie from Kentucky
Heavenly Father,
I can only assume that Heather might be right now in surgery to remove her tumor. I can’t be sure, Lord, but you are. Father, we know that You have your eyes fixed upon Heather and each and every member of her family right now Lord, every one, wherever they are. Father, I pray that You would please bring them, each one, directly into their hearts, peace at this very moment. Please, especially be with Mark, as he is waiting, to bring him calm and Your inexplicable peace as he sits and waits on You. Please do the same for Heather’s parents and friends, dear God. And Lord, I just pray right now this moment for the children and their caretakers. Give Mark’s parents wisdom in dealing with the kids specifically today, whether they choose to keep them busy and occupied or whether the children, especially Easton, have questions. Lord, thank you, for working so quickly on all the logistics. Thank you for the swift action at an excellent facility and for pulling the family in so quickly to each be in their unique roles for this day. I pray that, even right now if Heather is indeed in surgery, please guide the hands and steady the eyes of the surgeons and the anasthesiologist, dear God. Clear the air from germs, if You will and give confidence to the entire team. Father, we know that You created and planned before time every single cell of Heather’s body. You knew the tumor would grow as she played innocently outside as a little girl and You knew when and where it would appear. And you know now the outcome. Please help us all to praise You whatever it is. Help us to remember to trust that this is all part of a PLAN. A strategy You developed before any of us even knew what salvation was! But Lord, You know the servant that Heather is, and the need of her children to be taught of You the way that she commits herself to do - and if You will, please bring her safely through, whole and with all the capabilities she’ll need to raise them up to You. Lord, mostly, thank You for ordaining me worthy to come before You with these requests because of Jesus Christ and His blood washed over me. By sending a willing witness to lead me to You when I knew nothing of You at all. Thank you for that friend and for preparing my heart beforehand to be willing to accept Your gift of Your own Son’s precious blood. Thank You for doing all it took to make sure that I would understand and accept the sacrifice of Your son and my most incredible Savior, Jesus Christ. And thank You, God, for comment #180. I rejoice with the angels over this woman. Thank You for letting me be a small part of “meeting” this faithful family. Please bless each one now, God. In JESUS most peaceful name, Amen.
Heather - Praying for you today. May peace be a blanket of comfort for you and your family today.
Hugs, Kari
