I just spoke to Darlene, Heather’s mom. Heather went back to surgery about 1pm. She gave a smile as they wheeled her away.
The surgeon said that it would take about an hour to open her skull and an hour to close it. It will take around 2 hours to remove the tumor. They did end up shaving four little circles on her head that she was unprepared for. LOL
Darlene said she would give me a call when she heard anything else. They were off to take Emma to the park to let her run around and swing, her favorite thing.
I will update as soon as i know more. Promise. And keep on praying!!

I heard about Heather through a friend only todsy.
I watched my 9-year old son being wheeled down a hallway for surgery to remove a large, malignant high-grade brain tumor 3 years ago.
He is doing well now, there is always hope.
Heather is in the hands of God and her neurosurgeon now, and sometimes all there is to do is to have faith.
Heather and family are in my prayers.
Continuing to lift y’all up in prayer….
Laura, thank you. We’re still praying.

I have been praying all morning and when I opened my bible it came to Matthew 14:27 “Be Not Afraid”.
I know that there is no reason to fear because Heather is in the care of very qualified physicians at Mayo and that our Lord is guiding the surgeons as I type this post.
My prayers will continue for complete healing and the return of Heather’s testimony of faith.
So much prayer and love you way…Heal and let others take care of you, As Mom’s sometimes that is hard. God has you in his hands!
Thanks for the update! Continuing in prayer for Heather and her family.
God Bless~
Karen

I just learned about Heather. She’s in my prayers. We’ve dealt with plenty of cancer in this family, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s prayer, even by strangers (sometimes especially by strangers!) is felt and makes a difference.
