Post-Op Day 1 Update

I have to apologize for not getting an update up earlier. I am very sorry, but thank you for being patient with me.

I just spoke to Mark, he was sitting down eating some dinner while Heather slept and she requested that he stay with her tonight so he will be going back to the hospital afterwards. Yes, she requested.

She has full mobility. She’s been walking around and changed from those hospital gowns to her nice, soft jammies today. She wants her hair washed. :)

She’s not really talking. It’s all there in her mind, she’s just having some trouble getting it from there to her mouth. She is able to shake her head yes and no and she understands you most of the time. She’s smiling and happy… she knows when people are there. I can only imagine how frustrated she is.

She’s not really in any pain, but she was a little dizzy earlier. Mark said he thinks it’s partially due to the fact that she wasn’t drinking enough. They are getting on top of that though.

Specifics for prayer:

  • That she get some good rest.
  • That her speech comes back quickly
  • That she stays relatively pain free

Thank you sooo much for caring so deeply for Heather and her family. Thank you for those prayers and please keep them coming.

From Mark:
hey folks…pray that satan would be bound from Heather’s thought life, that she would not be discouraged or worried about the days to come, and that the Lord would comfort her and give her peace.

I have been in awe of this journey; of the love and support shown by strangers. I’m not a Christian–I was at one time but am not now but I am strengthened by what I see in this community of souls. It gives me hope..for myself, for my children and for the world. Heather, Mark and your family and friends–I wish you the best. We are ALL in this TOGETHER.
