I have to apologize for not getting an update up earlier. I am very sorry, but thank you for being patient with me.
I just spoke to Mark, he was sitting down eating some dinner while Heather slept and she requested that he stay with her tonight so he will be going back to the hospital afterwards. Yes, she requested.
She has full mobility. She’s been walking around and changed from those hospital gowns to her nice, soft jammies today. She wants her hair washed.
She’s not really talking. It’s all there in her mind, she’s just having some trouble getting it from there to her mouth. She is able to shake her head yes and no and she understands you most of the time. She’s smiling and happy… she knows when people are there. I can only imagine how frustrated she is.
She’s not really in any pain, but she was a little dizzy earlier. Mark said he thinks it’s partially due to the fact that she wasn’t drinking enough. They are getting on top of that though.
Specifics for prayer:
- That she get some good rest.
- That her speech comes back quickly
- That she stays relatively pain free
Thank you sooo much for caring so deeply for Heather and her family. Thank you for those prayers and please keep them coming.
From Mark:
hey folks…pray that satan would be bound from Heather’s thought life, that she would not be discouraged or worried about the days to come, and that the Lord would comfort her and give her peace.

Thank you for posting and updating! It’s good to hear the good progress the Lord is blessing her with. I’ve been praying, and will continue to pray for Heather and her family.
Whoopie! I am so glad to hear this report!!!!
Continued prayers for her recovery and complete healing will be prayed.
Praise God! And still praying…
Still singing and praising and praying:
Every morning that breaks there are mercies anew.
Every breath that I take is Your faithfulness proved,
And at the end of each day, when my labors are through,
I will sing of Your mercies anew
When I’ve fallen and strayed, there were mercies anew.
For you sought me in love and my heart you pursued.
In the face of my sin, Lord, You never withdrew.
So I sing of Your mercies anew.
And Your mercies they will never end;
For ten thousand years they remain.
And when this world’s beauty has passed away,
Your mercies will be unchanged.
And when the storms swirl and rage, there are mercies anew.
In affliction and pain, You will carry me through.
And at the end of my days, when your throne fills my view,
I will sing of Your mercies anew.
I will sing of Your mercies anew.
Yeah!!! Still praying.

Oh … Praise the Lord!!
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date on how Heather is doing.
I don’t know Heather personally and to be honest, don’t think I’d heard of her until I read about her on 5 minutes for Mom’s website,
and yet … I’ve been thinking about and praying for Heather and her family so often over the past few days, that I feel as if I really do know her.
Love,
Jennelle
I’ve been praying for Heather since she found out about the tumor and will not stop until she is well.
Thank you so much for the updates!
Thank you for the update. I am sure heaven has heard many prayers concerning Heather the last few weeks.
We are still here praying and will continue until we celebrate Heather’s full recovery. And you and your family are in our prayers as well, that you will have the strength and courage to go through each day supporting and caring for Heather. Will be back for updates. Lots of HUGS and prayers coming your way tonight, Nina
Every praise and worship song that came on the radio today, I thought of you Heather.
I wanted to raise my voice in praise and worship for you, to Him, as I know you are in your heart!
What a mighty God we serve!
Yay God! Thank you for the update. I’ll continue to pray for her recovery.
Oh, this is so wonderful to hear. Such good news! Yay, Heather!!! Yay, God!!!
Yes, continuing to rejoice and pray. Praying against the attack of the enemy in her mind and that it is replaced with peace, sweet peace and knowing that God will see her through until the words in her head are formed and said with her mouth.

Jen
God is soooooooooooo good!!!!
Praying!!
Thank you for the update! I’m encouraged.
Mark, I saw your comment. I can’t imagine what Heather is feeling wanting to say things and unable. I asked my husband if he knew a verse or something to share with you. He suggested 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV) Then he said, “It’s got a double meaning.” I think he’s right.
I’m praying for NO fear in Heather’s heart. And a SOUND MIND to be displayed. I’m praying her body gets aligned with her heart and spirit!
Be encouraged. And tell Heather to be, too! We love and are praying for you.
Whoo Hoo!
No apologies needed.
Praying the warfare prayer over Heather.
Rest well Mark & Heather.
How amazing! Thank you Laura and Mark!
Heather – you continue to amaze us sweetie. Many good thoughts heading your way!
xoxo
Karen

Dearest Heather,
As you know we are all praying for you , believing with you and so proud of you. Praise the Lord. Praying for you , your protection , health and family as always. Sir Nick ( our six yr. old …LOL and Sir Jon dedicated a prayer this evening to your children and you .
I will send you a copy of the prayer bulletin.
Dear Mark,
I am so glad that Heather has you for a husband. My husband and I had a special father and husbands prayer said and dedicated to you at church this evening.
Dear Laura,
True good Chrisitian friends and sisters in Christ are gifts from God to us . I am so glad Heather has all of her friends, support , love and prayers. I know all of her friends and us praying means so much to her but I am so glad she has you and my children had a prayer dedicated for you at church this evening.
Dear Heathers parents and family,
As a parent my self I know that you know the gift of our children is the most important and precious gift besides the gift of our savior in our lives. May you be blessed this week and always . We as a family had a prayer dedicated from Heather to you in our church this evening. There was not a dry eye as we all prayed over your precious daughter. She is such an inspiration.
Love and Hugs,
Angel ( Angel Mama Pearls of Wisdom)
Thanks for the update. God is awesome! I will be praying for Heather to rest well, for her to regain her speech speedy quick and that she not have too much pain.
Wow. I am encouraged by her recovery to this point – it sounds like things are happening sooner than maybe was expected? I pray for peace in Heather’s mind, that attacks from the enemy would be bound up & cast out of her thought life, that her thoughts would be replaced by the peace, joy & comfort of the Lord. I also pray that God would use a miracle in Heather of healing to display his power & authority to those who know of her story, people in the blogosphere & the hospital alike.
I believe this is my first time posting a response on your blog, but I just want you to know that God has used your blog to bring me closer to Him than I’ve been in a very long time. I’m finally closer to the peace I once knew in Him six years ago. I will agree in prayer with everyone here that her speech will be fully restored, and that she will not be frustrated. I pray that God gently reminds her that her speech will return in HIS perfect timing. God is not done with Heather. She has so much more of Him to share with those of us who have been so deeply touched by her story thus far. Not only that, but God will use her to touch the lives of those who have not yet heard her story, but will, in God’s perfect time. I want to thank you for being faithful to God so that He could use your testimony to bring me closer to Him. Your family will remain in my prayers. Ta for now dahling!
Mark – Thanks so much for giving us specific things to pray for her. Be assured that there are many people praying for your entire family! God is always in control and he will be glorified!!
Lisa in Texas = )
Praise God for a great start to her recovery. I will keep you all in my prayers!
Amen! and Amen!! May God touch the mind and mouth of Heather, bringing together once again the synchronizing of her thoughts and speech. I pray that satan will have no satisfaction in her recovery, that she will continue to remain encouraged, happy, and rested. Praying for Mark’s strength and peace as well.
Ultimate Praise and Glory to God!
In the Name of Jesus Christ,
Julie in Texas

Praying for yall!
Dear Heather…Girl, I’m praying specifically over your thoughts and concerns…God has you tenderly in His care, never once looking away or shrugging you off. You are His Treasure! I know that I think you’re a treasure and I don’t even know you personally. Ask Him to continually give you a song in your mind. Ask Him to give you His Song…it’s one of Love, I know!
Not forgetting to pray at all..each detail…everything that brings you concern.
We love you in Him,
Holly and Chris

Praying! (I love your web design, btw. You are a genius!)
Maggie
I have learned so much from you both about WHAT to pray for. I read over your prayer requests, and you never ask for outcomes, but attitudes. What an amazing lesson. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of praying Heather through.
