The hymn posted on boomama’s blog today says it all:

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase
To added affliction, he addeth his mercy
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace
When we have exhausted our store of endurance
When our strength has failed and the day’s half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s own giving has only begun
    His love has no limit
    His grace has no measure
His power has no boundaries known unto men
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.

    Praising God

ok, so you have impacted me tremendously. i was led to your blog through eliot’s – i never knew eliot or his family – was led to his blog through a friend here in dallas. i am a lukewarm christian. by that i mean i have been scalded by STRONG christians and leaders in the church. i have worked in the church with youth and children. i have a faith and a belief in God and Jesus Christ. i understand that we aren’t supposed to understand what is happening to you or to your daughter; you inspire me because i am less faithful, less obedient and less joyful in Him than you and i have not endured the struggles you have/are. nothing that has occurred in my life has touched me more than your story. i am a 57 yr old young at heart grandmother blessed with 2 wonderful children and 2 and 1/2 precious grandchildren. i have struggled with depression as well. i am praying for you HARD (as i often tell my children). i have read your entire blogs – from day one. sat for hours one night. i feel connected to you and your family and will continue to follow your progress and healing. I pray for God’s grace and comfort and strength that only He can give. and i thank Him for bring you into my life through your blog.

I am so thankful to hear that your surgery went well and you are in the recovery process. May God continue to bless you as he heals you and gives your encouragment each day. Your Faith and Love are so evident in the words of your pasts. I wish you the best!

I thought of this verse when I read your May 5 post.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Eph. 6:13 (NIV)

I just ran across your blog the day you were scheduled for surgery. I spent the entire evening reading back through the process, from the day you found out about the brain tumor. One thing that really stood out to me in the blog was an early comment that it was “inoperable” cancer. And here you are, post “inoperable” cancer, after your operation, standing, and fighting, and praying, and breathing, and living today. God is an awesome God, indeed.

  44. Praise the Lord! We’re standing with you. Lifting you up to our Heavenly Father, the Great Healer.
