The speech therapist said that I needed to type, so here I am. This may take me quite a while, but I will do it with a smile on my face!
Today I had occupational and speech therapy. The occupational therapist said that i didnt need any therapy, which dad and i were shocked. She said that I was doing too good to use her. She said that the limp in my right leg was from my ACL replacement surgery and sent me on my way with a smile!
Speech therapy was another story. She said that I had some difficulties processing, and that she could see me struggle, but that she could see in me that I wanted to grab the phrases. I had to answer so many questions, but it was worth it.
So all in all it was a good day. My family has taken good care of me, and I love them very much. I know that this journey is going to be a long one, and it is going to take a village to raise me up, but who else better to do so than my family.
I am just happy to be here!

WoW! Great to hear your voice again! Keep typing! We’re so thrilled to have you on the mend.
still praying for you and your family.
Heather, I am so happy that you’re taking all this in stride with God’s hand guiding you. It amazes me to think that a week ago, you’d just had surgery, and here you are typing on your blog again! God is just so good to us, when we let Him into our hearts and listen to the words He offers!
Wohoo!!!!! Praising God with you! Looking forward to hearing all that you experience and learn about our God and His people through this. I’m so happy for you, Heather.
Cindy
I’m happy you’re here too!!!!! You’re going to be here a very long time!!!!
Love ya!
GOD IS GOOD!!!! As a mom, I have to say that you come from BRAVE FAITHFULL, LOVING STOCK!! I admire all of you.
Glory to God for your progress. I learned of your illness just after signing on with MOG, so as all of the other moms in the community have kept you in their prayers you have certainly been in mine as well. Thanks for sharing and for allowing us all to see the reality of the Lord’s love in your suffering. Blessings to you and your family.
In thankgiving,
Chris H.

Heather-I had to come back today during some quiet time and just read what you wrote. Our God never ceases to amaze me with the miracles He performs. You are truly a miracle being held in His right hand. I praise Him for that! Keep pressing on! Keep up the fight. Your “village” is here to help you all the way!
Praising Jesus at this very moment and giving Him the glory!

Hey there Heather – I am so happy to read this post…your family is so precious – it is so cool to read different perspectives and styles of telling what all has gone on with you and how you are feeling since your surgery. God is so good and you are still fighting the good fight of faith in a way that is such an inspiration and challenge. Thank you. We are still praying for you and still checking the blog everyday for updates! Much love – Sunshine

I’m glad you’re here, too, and I hope you will be until you’re old and gray-headed.
Keep on persevering, girl.
Praying for you.
Praising God you are back. Wife and I agree that we expect to see God fully raise you up.
Still praying and still believing!
Heather,
Keep that smile on your face! Still praying here in Michigan!
just amazing. so great to hear that things are progressing. my thoughts are with you as your speech returns (it will return quickly — your strength could move mountains). please think of little emma grace in this time — she speaks few words but makes her emotions and intentions clear. use this time to deepen your bond with her.
you will be in my thoughts as i go in next week for an MRI and while i await my own diagnosis. i will never forget your strength and eloquence.
utterly moved by you,
jessica

De lurking to say I’ve been following (since I heard from the awards site), praying and glad to see you are back. Welcome back…I believe it’s great therapy, too! After God, family of course! Truly amazed by how all you’ve been through and how far you’ve come; you are truly remarkable!!
It’s wonderful to see your post. We are all still praying for you. You know, for everyone who posts a comment, there are SO MANY who never post, but read…and pray. What a village. What a lady. And what a great God is ours!
Heather, I am very glad you are doing that great. I am pretty sure that with your family’s help and God’s help of course you will go forward. I will keep you in my prayers.

We’re happy that you’re here, too! Onward Christian soldier!!
Heather! So happy to see what God is doing in your life and body!!
You said you needed a village — Isn’t it beautiful how God raised up ‘your village’ before you needed it?
WE are all here – watching and praying and cheering you on!!
We serve an awesome God! He has seen you through so much and you’re such an amazing follower! I continue to pray – both prayers of thanksgiving and prays for continued healing. So glad you can be with your family to help you get through this. When your Mom posted about you singing with the radio, it really touched my heart. As a mother myself, I know that she must have been so thankful and overjoyed to hear your beautiful voice!
Praises lifted to our King for the storms he has already brought you through and prayers for strength and peace for the ones yet to come. He has begun a mighty work in you and He is faithful to complete it – amen!
I’m so happy to know you are doing well and it is even better to hear from you. Thanks for sharing yourself with us.
Hugs,
~Jen
