Thank you for all that you have done for me, especially the last two months. You have cleaned my house and watched my kids, but more importantly you have stood by my side. I know it has been rough, no mom should have to watch her daughter hurt, I know that all too well. Yet you do it, selflessly.

I hope that when my own daughters are grown, I can be as supportive and encouraging as it is clear you are. You’ve raised an amazing daughter, and the way she lives her life and stands in faith during this unbelievable struggle is a testimony to you and to her dad. I haven’t been reading Heather’s blog for long, but now I know I was brought here for a reason. My sister is having a biopsy done today on a lump found deep down in her breast. It’s unlike any other lump she’s had before, and she is quite scared. She is just 34 and has three young children. I hope that however this turns out, she will find the hope and faith she needs to get through it and we, her family, can support her in all ways.
Heather is beautiful!! She’s a great gift to us all, and to you especially!

I’m sure your heart is breaking as you watch your beautiful daughter go through these trials… it’s more difficult to watch a loved one go through pain than it is to go through it yourself. Yet you have the strength to help Heather and her family get through this. You are amazing…I only pray that I can be as good a mom as you are.

My computer is slow, and it is Monday and I am still asleep, so as I was scrolling down, I saw that gorgeous head of hair and thought Heather got a new wig!! Now, I see the beauty that is the Nana.
My sister tried to kill herself earlier this year and we got to see what resolve my mother had during such a time. In the south, we call such women as these “Steel Magnolias”. I am glad that you have your Mom and that Debi has our mother.
