First of all, thank you for those of you who committed to pray for Marisa, I cant tell you how much it means. If you missed the post about her, scroll down.
Now, my weekend. Friday, after a day of homeschool, Mark took me to Carrabba’s Italian Grill for dinner. Even though I didn’t eat much, the atmosphere was just amazing. Then we went to the Hyatt and ordered a few movies, and went straight to bed
The next morning, we had breakfast downstairs and off we went to pick up the kids. Laura came over to watch them (my parents had prior engagements) so that we could meet our very good friends from the Tampa area for lunch. We had an amazing time talking with them, they are such a wonderful couple.
Sunday I actually felt well enough to go to church and sing. I can’t tell you how much that did for my spirit.
After church, we met my dear friend Mae Beth. She had come down from Jacksonville for her daughter, Sarah’s Lacrosse game, and wanted to meet for lunch, so of course we agreed. Her and Chuck are some of our oldest and dearest friends. We met them while I was pregnant with Easton, and she was actually in the delivery room when I was giving birth to Elijah
Chuck and Mark have been in numerous churches together. Mae Beth has taught me so much about being a Christian wife and a mother, it was great to see her!
Monday, we went to my parents house and grilled. My husband and kids swam, and mom, dad and I sat on the lanai (screened in back porch) and talked while we watched them. I was exhaustedly blessed
It was a great weekend, filled with tons of memories (and completely wore me out)!

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, what a beautiful view you all had from your room! Singing in church, time with friends, a cook out with family sounds like a “Perfect” weekend to me.
I pray you have a very blessed and fruitful week!
Hugs~

Thank YOU Father for blessing Heather and Mark this way!
Praying for Marisa (is it pronouned Ma-ree-sah or Ma-ris-sah?) Either way, God knows, and I will pray as diligently for her, as you, Dear one!
With love and prayers,
Holly
Dear Heather, I discovered something really good while reading your post of the weekends events, you did not mention nausea and sickness once. Does this mean that you have gotten on the right balance of meds? I sure hope so and am so glad you had a wonderful weekend, even if it left you exhausted. Now I hope you rest up from your vacation and have a most wonderful and feel good week. Can’t do much for the exhaustion side-effect except to remember to rest when you can. Thank you for Marisa’s site and will be praying for her healing along with yours and many others.

So glad you had a great weekend, Heather. I think you & your family awsome; you are a shining star in this crazy Cancer World. Thank you for being so willing to share so vulnerably your experiences and your commitment to your faith.
I am trying to figure out how to transfer your button to my blog – I have you URL in my favorite blogs….
God bless. You & your family are in my prayers. We have added you and everyone who is touched by yor site on our church’s 30-day prayer list.

What a fantastic weekend. Well deserved, and well done.
Blessed weekend, blessed exhaustion…what a great combination. Praying for you and Marisa today and always
Sounds like a great weekend! I love Carrabba’s!! We have one up here too!
Heather, once again you’ve been such a blessing to me. Your words were the message God had waiting for me today. It’s frustrating how much I tend to shrink away from the things I know I need, because I’m so afraid of letting people get too close, or what pain they may cause me. Please pray that I’ll learn that being hurt by others is nothing to fear or shrink from, as long as I know God is in my corner. God shines so brightly in your life and I thank you for sharing it with us. Ta for now dahling!
It sounds like an awesome, blessed time. Praise God.
JoAnn
So glad you had that “date” time! Sounds like a wonderful little getaway. How sweet of your hubby to do that!
I’m so glad you had a nice weekend! You deserve it! Hooray.
Praise God for your fantastic weekend….and we will pray for your precious friend and her battle with cancer. May God give you both the peace, comfort, strength, and most of all His presence each moment of the day. He has you so near to Him…you truly are the apple of His eye.
Blessings friend…
Heather & Mark
Thank you both for the wonderful time we shared last Saturday. I know your Dad reads your blog and we want your and Mark’s parents to know what wonderful children they have although I am sure they already do. I am sure we will share many fun lunches and times ahead! Tell Mark we appreciate his sharing all the nice spots in the area and we did visit a few. Like you and Mark we took the time just to relax, share quiet time. reflect on our lives and remember how very lucky we are for all we have in our lives including our friendship with you and Mark. I don’t believe in Karma but I do believe that God works in strange ways and our friendship is proof of that. You looked just radiant and your strength and faith amaze me each and every day. Please take care of yourself and stay focused on YOU and your health. Take care my friend!
Sounds like a great weekend to me! Glad you had a good time.
God bless
