Peach Fuzz!

And Again!

Mommy and Emma being silly!

Mommy and Emma

And this one is a reminder to me to always lift my eyes to my Savior
not the road ahead…
I will lift my eyes…

I lift up my eyes to the hills- Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip –
He who watches over you will not slumber;
Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you
The LORD is your shade at your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm –
He will watch over your life;
The LORD will watch over your coming and going
Both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121

  1. Heather,
    You look awesome!! Before you know it your hair will be thick and possibly curly. That was definitely a surprise to me to have curly hair after chemo! It lasted about 9 months and then went back to its original texture. By the way, you look just as awesome without hair too!

  2. You are sooooo beautiful!

  6. Oh my gosh, Heather! If I were you I would so leave the fuzz and forego ever worrying about another haircut every again! You are SOOOOOO incredibly gorgeous with this style! You have the perfect face/head shape/eyes/nose/EYES for this look!

    And, by the way, this photo of you and Emma Grace with monkey in hand is so adorable. You seriously should put that in your upcoming (yeah, I know you think about it!) book!

  18. Heather- You are so beautiful and strong. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me. Although I do not know you in-person, I think (and pray) about you everyday. I am not kidding! When I am doing dishes, drving in my car, teaching my kids math, I think “I wonder what sweet Heather is doing now” and I send up a little prayer. You’ve touched my life. Thanks. Blessings, Jennifer

  19. Cool! It will be interesting to see what color/texture it may be. My bro-in-law’s hair was really curly before he had cancer and after chemo, it grew back straight. He looks great! By the way, he had cancer the year I got married. That was almost 20 years ago! He was diagnosed in April 1988 (he was 30), had surgery (it was a tumor they said he was born with in his chest that had grown the size of a grapefruit) went through radiation and chemo. And by August of that same year, he was well enough to walk me down the aisle, in place of my late father. He was bald but so handsome and I couldn’t have been prouder! Numbers don’t mean anything to anyone except the doctor. God is in control! Keep looking up at Him, sweetie!
