And this one is a reminder to me to always lift my eyes to my Savior
not the road ahead…

I lift up my eyes to the hills- Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip -
He who watches over you will not slumber;
Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you
The LORD is your shade at your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm -
He will watch over your life;
The LORD will watch over your coming and going
Both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121

I haven’t visited in a while -keep you in my prayers though. You look for vibrant, beautiful. I know that beauty is also within and can’t help but believe such beauty can outwit the ugliness that is cancer.
Stay strong. My prayers always.
That is the psalm that my husband prayed over our granddaughter Tirzah , last Friday at her Bat Mitzvah. Here are the pictures if you want to see them.http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/bubbebobbie/405318/
It is amazing.
I heard a teaching a few months back that perhaps our ideas on this Psalm are a little off and that when the Psalmist was saying I lift up my eyes to the Hills from where does my help come, he was looking at the high places the ashtoreth poles that the pagans worshipped and saying my help is not from them it s Above them. My help comes from the Lord! I loved that.
It makes it not a question of uncertainty but one of complete confidence.
Your sweet daughter is such a beauty jesus shines so brightly in her eyes. She has her mama’s eyes who (taing a line from an old Amy Grant song) has her Father’s eyes. And as we all can see you also have new hair on your head for God to number! very cool!
because of Jesus, Bobbie
The peach fuzz is wonderful but those eyes…stunning.
Beautiful.
Inspirational.
If I shave my head will my eyes be as striking as yours.
or will I just look bald?
Peachy-keen girl!!! As all those before me have said, your eyes say it all. And BTW, that is one of my favorite Psalms…have you ever heard the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sing it? Just beautiful. Praying for your journey, In His Grip Always, Lynnebee
Simply said:
“You are beautiful”.
awesome!! i bet it feels really cool to run your hands over – all tickly & stuff.
Hooray!
Boy, I think I’m retroactively jealous! You have something to show for your fuzz growth–mine came in baby white and wasn’t visible for months. Nobody believed me when I excitedly told them my hair was growing back.
You look beautiful!
I was talking to my daughters the other day about true beauty and how that is when Jesus can be seen through us. You truly display true beauty Heather. Those pictures are beautiful and your eyes are lit with a hope in a Father who is faithful. Thank you for another glimpse into your precious life.
You are positively stunning and your daughter is a doll, too
)
Heather — you’re so beautiful! Hair is just an accessory
Oh, I’ve really enjoyed visiting your Dad’s blog since you put that post on here a while back. What a great church your family has!
God bless!

Beautiful pictures!
And I love Psalm 121. Have you heard Michael W. Smith’s song: “Total Praise” recently? The verse of the song is from Psalm 121 and the chorus is so cool. Here are the lyrics:
[Verse:]
Lord, I will lift up my eyes to the hills,
knowing my help is coming from You.
Your peace You give me in time of the storm.
[Chorus:]
You are the source of my strength,
You are the strength of my life;
I lift up my hands in total praise to You.
[Verse:]
[Chorus:]
[Chorus:]
Amen…
The cool thing is my dad’s a pastor too and I grew up in a conservative home and church where we never lifted our hands, not b/c it was wrong, just something we didn’t do. However, when I hear this song, and he gets to the words, I lift my hands in total praise to you … I want to lift my hands.
If he only sang I lift my hands in praise – I don’t think the impact would be the same, but since he says total praise … my hands go up!
Cool song … let me know here what you think of it!
Praying for you still – and checking this site every day!
Jonell
