Note Eastons Mustache that she promptly took off
when we got to the church and she saw her friends

We had a blast at The Tabernacle, a local church who puts on an alternative to Halloween. I personally dont have any problems with Halloween, I think, like many things, its only bad if you make it bad, but my kids are in Upwards this year and it is hosted at the Tab and all their friends were going
All the kids had a great time!
Then Yesterday we had Thanksgiving dinner for the church out in Myakka Valley complete with an egg hunt (with plastic eggs, the goal is to get the egg with a 20 dollar bill inside
), sack race and egg toss. The food was delicious and the fellowship was even better!
All in all it was a good week/weekend, other than Emma Grace catching a stomach bug with a fever, so she will be staying home from school today-but honestly that is not such a bad thing
As far as me, I start Chemo Nov 11th through the 16th, after the Woman of Faith conference this weekend (which I am very excited to be going to, btw!) My platelets have reached 148 (up from the 30s). Now we just need to work on my RBC and WBC which is still low, but not low enough to postpone chemo. I have a ton of energy which is evident in how clean my house is getting
Yet I still tire easily (Hard to explain, it isnt that I need to sleep more or rest, it is just a all over heavy feeling that never really goes away) Emotionally I am doing okay, I still have my bad days- thoughts creeping where they don’t need to be going, but all in all I feel good. I have an appointment at Moffit on the 28th of November. I am hoping this next round of Chemo is easier on my body, it was good mentally and physically to have a break.
How was your weekend?

I think Emma Grace makes a perfect angel!
Hoping the next round goes better…after this round will you be half way done? Just trying to be positive!
I’m so glad to hear that you are feeling better–a clean house? You MUST feel better!
The kids look cute–I love the “pensive, far-off” looks!
BUT, that view out the window behind them?????? Is that at your house?
It’s lovely.
Very cool. Would you believe that my husband went to youth group (Carpenter’s Shop) at the Tabernacle years and years ago? He even went on a mission to Paraguay with them?
Have a great time at WOF…my friend went in Charlotte last weekend and had a fabulous time.
Heather,
It looks like all had a good time (evident from the pictures)! Praise that you are feeling better and your blood counts are improving! Enjoy your bursts of energy!
Many Blessings ~ your in my prayers… Paula
Beautiful pictures – what a great time!
My name is Tammy and my husband is band pastor to Casting Crowns. I have found your blog through a friend and just wanted to let you know that your faith has blessed me and I am lifting you up in prayer as I follow your journey through your site. May God richly bless you and your family.
My boys would LOVE that storm trooper costume- or whichever Star Wars guy that is. I am still learning! Fun pics!
Steph
Cute!
What great pictures of all 3 kids and glad they had so much fun. Okay, I have to ask you something. Does Emma have lipstick or gloss on in all of her pictures or does she just have naturally beautiful lips? They are such a beautiful “pink” in ALL of her pics. I will be praying for your next round of chemo to go super good on you and praise the Lord for the energy you have been having. Isn’t it refreshing? Oh, and I want to share that the chemo is notorious for that “Heavy, filled with Lead in the body” feeling. It is like living in a Space Suit. It’s not you, it’s the chemo drugs. It completely goes away when you no longer are taking it and your body has time to clear it out. Have a most wonderful and love filled week and if you are left with extra energy, you are welcome to come clean my house for the holidays:)
Praying always and Love you girl, Laurie in Ca.
I was at Women of Faith in OKC this weekend and it was WONDERFUL! Enjoy yourself and soak it all up!
Beautiful pictures of your kids!
We had a nice weekend too. We had around 40 people over yesterday!
Have a great time at the Women of Faith Convention. I will be taking my oldest to a “Young adult Conference form graduated Homeschoolers next weekend.
I will be praying about your upcoming chemo. Try not to think about it in the meantime and just enjoy each day!
Love, Gina
Hi Heather, I’m a new reader and oh, I already love you and your family SO much! Thank you for sharing some of you life with all of us. Thank you for being so open with some of your emotions and thoughts about God. Your story is so beautiful and encouraging and you are living with such grace. By the way you are beautiful! I laughed to myself when I read this post-it looks like you guys celebrated halloween, thanksgiving and easter all in one weekend! Thanks for reminding me to abide and rest in Him!
Heather, you “sound” great. Your writing voice is evidence of your energy. So glad you had a great time with your family this halloween. Looks like you had a wonderful family time – just as it should be.
Your childern are beautiful. Emma looks like a real little Angel..how sweet. Take care and have fun on your ‘off’ chemo times–heck with the housework!
Be well..Sue
So great to hear your feeling better…I have trouble keeping my house clean without the chemo!!! You are an inspiration! My weekend was filled with Christmas decorating (at our business…not at home!) some cleaning, games night with our girls and some friends, Worship at church and ended off with “coffee” (chat) with a close friend while our husbands played hockey…much to be thankful for! Keeping you in prayer, Ivy
Soooo cute!!! What great costumes.
Loved your pictures of your beautiful family, Heather. I’m glad your count is up and that you’re feeling better. Enjoy the conference. I am praying God will give you the desires of your heart.

Praying specifically for you on these dates, but really praying every day.

Love you much in Him,
Holly
Hi Heather.
Thanks for sharing your family with us. Looks like it was a great Halloween.
I am praying chemo isn’t to bad this time around. I do know that kinda fatigue that you talk about. Just kind have to regroup when it its. Its hard to explain it to those who never had treatment. But I do understand.
I love that your sharing all your feeling it helps to talk and write about it.
We had a great weekend it was quiet. But good. Spent time with my family and thats always good:)
Hugs and Prayers Hope
The pictures are great! Glad to hear you had such a great week/weekend. I’ll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as you get ready for another treatment. Hang in there!
Fun photos!
I’m praying your chemo will be much easier this time.
Hugs!
Kat

Heather,
You’re in my prayers. I also want to ask you to pray for some dear friends of ours. They are a sweet Christian family with 6 children ages 22-10. The dad had been sick for a while and they recently diagnosed him with stage 4b lymphoma. I know they would appreciate each prayer that is given for them. Have a blessed week.
Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better
Great pics!
Good to hear the numbers are rising.
Great picture and update. I’m glad you are feeling better. Have a great time at that conference.
We keep you in our prayers. You can do this. We know it.
I absolutely love the photo of Emma Grace with her head down….she IS an angel. Love all the photos. Your family is so beautiful. Sorry I haven’t commented in a while..its been crazy busy.
Hi Heather….these are such cute pictures..
I am glad the kids all had fun.
Wednesday is our prayer meeting night so I just had a little time to help out Bernie with giving out treats to the kids coming around.
We always give out cans of coke and they seem to love that..
We live in the war time houses and it is kid city but this year we only had about 50 kids that came. It does seem that the chuches are putting on alternative Halloween parties for the kids and I think that it just alright!
Heather did you read the good news on Minerva’s blog? I am so happy for her and I will be even happier the day that she puts her trust in the Lord.
That will be a glorious day indeed!
I am so glad that the cimments you make to her are so full of the good word.
Minerva has become so special to a lot of us just as you have and Arlene.
Arlene had good news this week too. We surely have a God that is in the prayer answering business.
God bless you Heather and prayers will still be going up for you especially on Nov 11th-16th……Love Terry
Your kids look so adorable! I will be praying for you during your next round of chemo.
Blessings!
thanks for the pics! too funny about the mustache! lol lol
Beautiful photos! Praying for you and your chemo and for them! May God continue to richly bless you during this trying time!
Mr. Star Wars is awesome!! Easton and Emma are too cute!
I’m so excited to hear that you are doing better… and going to the Women of Faith Conference?!! You go girl! Mandisa and Beth Moore are two I have wanted to see for a while. Have a blast!!
much love!
You sound great! Your kids are adorable as usual. Have a fab time at the conference.
xoxo karen
Glad you had such an enjoyable week/weekend. The kids pictures are great. And I know that it is hard not to do things when you are feeling better. The main reason that you are tired is because it is your body teling you that you need to rest and it isn’t back to normal yet. So when you are tired, rest. Don’t over do.
Praying that chemo goes much better this time.
Hugs ‘N Prayers,
Norma
How cute your babes are! Looks like they had a good time.
May you have an Amazing time at the WoF confrence and experience even a deeper sence of Freedom in Christ.
We look forward in hearing all the Holy Spirit revels to you there.
Because of Jesus, Bobbie
Found your website recently. Look forward to reading it more! I am a young adult (24) 3-time spinal cord tumor survivor!
Praying with you!
Rachel
