Tomorrow I have an appointment at Moffit. I have an MRI at 8am and then I see the neuro-oncologist at 11am. Please pray for my nerves to be at ease, that I would trust that God already knows the results, he is already there and waiting. Those of you who do scans know how it is to receive a good report, your mind instinctively goes to the next scan’ with little time to enjoy the good news. Please pray that I wont worry. Please pray that I would meditate on all the things that God has done for me, and pray that satan would have no hold over my thoughts.
“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth;
I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.
I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden wealth of secret places,
So that you may know that it is I,
The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.
-Isaiah 45:2-3 (NAS)
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
- Isaiah 41:10 (NAS)
You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow,
Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
under them you’re perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God’s your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can’t get close to you,
harm can’t get through the door.
He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they’ll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.If you’ll hold on to me for dear life, says God,
“I’ll get you out of any trouble.
I’ll give you the best of care
if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I’ll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!”
-Psalms 91 (The Message)

I thank you for putting those verses on today, I needed them. I also needed the perspective.
Here I am worried about the slight chance of a tornado hitting Tampa tonight, and will I wake up in time to get my daughter, and my husband is out of town……….you get the point.
Like God can’t handle that, like my anxiety can help or control the outcome.
I am humbled by the strength you have in light of what you face everyday.
I am thankful I stumbled across your blog.
I am inspired.
And again I will be praying.
I am praying for you, Heather. You are an amazing woman. God bless!

You’re still in my prayers.
Just prayed now, and will do so tomorrow as well. ((hugs))
you have so many prayer warriors, but I think God is pleased by any voice that cries out for His will to be done in your life, and for the miracle only He can bring.
so I will remember your need tonight.
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. The scripture you quoted is very uplifting. I needed to read that tonight. Thanks!

You are blessed to get both appointments in the same morning like this, Heather. There are so many who wait up to a week to get the appointment with the neuro-onc for the results.
Adding to that, because I hit the enter key when I was trying to make a paragraph…
Keith and I will be sending our heartfelt prayers and best thoughts throughout this difficult morning.
Praying in Alaska!

Have you heard of this? Make your blog into a hard cover book for like 20 bucks! What? It’s cool.
