He longs for us to crawl into his lap, and just lay our head on his shoulder. He longs for that. Can you picture yourself doing that today? Can you picture just crawling up into your Daddys lap and laying your head on his shoulder, and telling him how bad it hurts, how much you long for him to rescue you from it, what ever “it” may be?
He’s waiting…

That is such a beautiful image. I always love to see you in my Bloglines feed - you always keep it real. I love your uplifting and inspiring posts, but I also appreciate the raw and honest posts. (not that they aren’t all honest - but I hope you know what I mean).

I’ve always felt guilty for imagining God to be this way. I alternate between being terrified of Him (and not just in the respectful way, in the deeply afraid way as well) and wanting to be more personal; talking in a friendly way instead of always being scared.
Thank you for making me feel less guilty.

Isn’t it amazing how God sends you things when you need them most, but think you don’t? Thinking you can handle life on your own? When the stress piles up so bad that you can’t breathe? When you want to curl into the fetal position and stay there all day?
I need Daddy’s lap. But I’ve forgotten Him for awhile. Do you think he’ll still hold me on his lap?

REST in His Loving arms because He cares for you..take hold of each of your wonderful scriptures…an make them yours!
as He holds you in His lap, and rubs your precious little head(LOL) and with soothing strokes and words He reminds you that you are His, and He is yours…though you may not feel His shield when all comes crashing down around you…you point us in His direction so try your best to let the misery go and grab hold of His Word for you…Rest secure in Him…with this song in your heart…between His shoulders or in His lap, there is room!
