Wednesday..

I have an appointment at Moffit Cancer Center today in Tampa… I would really appreciate your prayers :)

Also, I am sure you have heard on the news by now that Senator Kennedy has a Malignant Brain Tumor. No matter what side of the fence you are on his politics, please pray for him and his family. Radiation and Chemo, especially at his age, are grueling. I have a post circulating in my head that I hope to get down on paper regarding this topic and correcting all of the misconceptions the news has been putting out about brain cancer. But right now I need to hop in the shower and get ready to leave.

More to come :)

When I first heard about Sen Kennedy I thought of you and prayed that somehow he would find your site and you would be of an encouragment to him and his family. I will pray for you today that God will give you and abundance of His grace and continue to minister through you to all with whom you come in contact. Blessings on you Heather.

Like Christine, the first thing I thought of when I heard about Sen. Kennedy was you…and yes, although I don’t agree with his politics, I am praying for him. Cancer is tough on everyone, but those who are older have it much harder. My aunt was diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer and is undergoing chemo now. She’s in her mid-60’s. She’s already been hospitalized due to an allergic reaction to the chemo. And Sen. Kennedy is older than that…all the harder for him.

Prayers for you as you have your appointment, too.

Heather, I thought of you right away when I heard Senator Kennedy’s news. I knew you would be watching him, along with the rest of the nation. Will pray for you today, for Senator Kennedy’s family, and for all those who must deal with brain cancer. Blessings to you and your family.

    Heather,
I thought of you right away when I heard about Sen Kennedy.
Politics have nothing to do with this nor party divides.
You have just been through this and must know somewhat of what he is feeling.
    Life is hard.
    Prayers for you.

    Heather,

I am praying for you and your appointment today at Moffit. Hoping all goes really good for you. I would not wish brain cancer on my worst enemy and I am thinking about and praying for his family. May it draw them closer to the Lord in this time of uncertainty. Bless you today and know you are loved. I hope you have been feeling good.

Heather, I have been following your blog silently for some time and always admire your attitude, your honesty and your wisdom. I live in Washington DC and have met Senator Kennedy, a maverick with a heart of gold, and today your words about him really touched me , as did your comment about the insensitivity and inaccuracies about the media coverage of the medical aspects of his diagnosis. Today my prayers are with you as you have further testing done, and with him as he manages this very difficult first step of his journey.
    Best - Clara

I’ll be saying an extra prayer for you today.

And you’re right, no matter what your political affiliation, Senator Kennedy deserves prayers as well.

    Take care!

You know, whenever there is something in the spotlight in the news, I always wonder what the people who are really “in the middle” of whatever it is are thinking. Hardly anything is represented correctly these days. Looking forward to your post.

    Praying for you today, Heather.

My prayers are always with you! And obviously for Senator Kennedy as well, my husband is one of his constituents and I am one of his son’s so I have been following closely. I pray for good news for him and his family. It is very frustrating to have people who know nothing about his case talking about the diagnosis, maybe this will prompt people to learn the facts about brain cancer and in doing so I hope they come across your blog!

I guess I’m not the only one who immediately thought of you when I heard about Sen. Kennedy. My father is in his 70’s and is battling lymphoma, so I know how hard the treatment is at that age. Best wishes and prayers for your appointment today.

    Hi Heather,
Ive been praying for you, also a note on Ted Kennedy- The Lord quickened me to pray for him. I don’t agree with his political views but Jesus died for him too!!! So we as a nation need to lift him up in prayer that he will be healed and that he will begin to seek the Lord and accept him as Lord and Saviour.

Heather - You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I too was grieved to hear about Sen. Kennedy. After watching my Father-in-law die of lung cancer that spread to his brain, I know how hard it is on one who is older to endure. I pray that God will bring peace to yours and all who come in contact with you. One thing I have learned during the last year is that sometimes the darkest circumstances bring about the biggest light of God’s glory. In my darkest hour, he gave me a prophecy: Out of the ashes, I WILL make something beautiful. My FIL did not beat the cancer as we prayed…but he did something better. He has left a small piece of him inside all of us, and each day I am amazed how far out it ripples…he lives but in different ways.

I know that God will make something beautiful no matter the outcome for you & Sen. Kennedy. You have touched so many lives…your honesty and openness has touched me deeply.

May God richly bless you always. ~ Taunya
