You say…
September 24, 2008
The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear?
(Psalm 27:1)When I am afraid, I will trust in you. (Psalm 56:3)
I sought the Lord, and he answered me, he delivered me from all my fears.
(Psalm 34:4)Don’t be afraid; just believe. (Mark 5:36)
Stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel, without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. (Philippians 1:27-28)
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. (Romans 8:15)
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:2-3)
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(Isaiah 41:10)If God is for us, who can be against us? Certainly not God, who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all. He gave us his Son - will he not also freely give us all things?
(Romans 8:31-32)Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. (Isaiah 12:2)

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Heather, I prayed for you right here at my desk at work and will continue thru the day. May God give you peace and calm you with his still small voice.
Calm my anxious heart. Matthew 6:34 - “Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.”
Philippians 4:6-7 - “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Psalms 5:3 - “In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.” (then) 12 For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD,You surround him with favor as with a shield.
Praying for you.

k-
WOW! God is so intimately in love with us. Last night was truly an amazing time and I was so blessed to see so many of you come out to be refreshed. I pray that you were blessed in many ways. I am praying that you will believe that God’s mercy, love, compassion, etc. it does not end and it sustains us. Hope! I will love to hear some praise reports, so email me back of how God spoke to you and encouraged you!
If throughout today, the rest of the week, if you find yourself questioning, doubting, growing anxious, getting weary, exhausted remember some of the things spoken last night. Remember hopeless is a word not in our vocabulary!
Habakkuk 3:17-19
“Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.”
For those of you who could not make it out, you were missed and I desire to share with you a bit of lasts night “encouraging words” , here are some:
no matter what is going on around you, God loves you, He knows, and wants to encourage you. He wants you to see His beauty. It has been said that Habakkuk 3:17-19 is one of the greatest confessions of faith found anywhere in Scripture.
Habakkuk has faced the frightening fact that his nation will be invaded by a merciless enemy. The prophet knows that many will be slain. The land will be ruined, and Jerusalem and the temple will be destroyed. Yet he tells God that he will trust Him no matter what happens. WOW!!!
Here is the confession of faith, as we listen carefully to this, give the Lord whatever is destroying you, making you feel hopeless, empty, frightened, held back, listen to these great words and believe.
“I will wait patiently on the Lord” Hab 3:16
If Habakkuk looked ahead, he saw a nation heading for destruction, and that terrified him. If you look ahead in your circumstance it may frighten you and hold you back in what God desires to do through you. Please do not allow the enemy to take you down, to stop you and hinder the purpose for your life. Walk by faith and not by sight.
When Habakkuk looked within, he saw himself trembling with fear. What do you see when you look within? Habakkuk teaches us to face our doubts and questions honestly, taking them humbly to the Lord, wait for His Word to teach us, listen to those around you that may have that encouraging exhortation and worship Him through it no matter how we feel or what we see.
God does not always change the circumstances, that we know for sure, but you know what - He can change us to meet the circumstances and He carries us through and uses those circumstances to increase our faith and trust in Him, we grow up in and through them and gain more wisdom and insight of the knowledge of who He is and how awesome He is. That is what it means to live by faith. “We walk by faith and not by sight” And Remember the spirit of the living God gives you power, love and a sound mind” to get you through.
and when Habakkuk looked around, he saw everything in the economy about to fall apart. Which today, when we look around, isn’t everything seemingly falling apart?
But when Habakkuk looked up by faith, he saw God, and all His fears vanished.
To walk by faith means to focus on the greatness and glory of God. I always tell the woman that come to me for guidance or prayer to look up. Let the glory of the Lord behold them, get refreshed. Just look up, praise and thank the God of this universe who breathed it into existence and holds all things together this great God loves you, He knows your situation, he knows your pain and has the result, and His result is perfect. He has fearfully and wonderfully made you. He knows you intimately and He cares.
He does hold all things together; there is proof, encouragement and hope,
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Col 1:15-17 and His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3
I showed a video last night called How great is Our God and I would encourage those who have not seen it to see it and to share it. It speaks for itself. I pray that as you watch this video the beauty of the Lord will behold you and all fears, regrets, emptiness, loneliness, anxiety, frustration, will fade away.
Amazing, His love, His amazing love for us each individually. We have a great God just waiting for us to lay it all down at His feet and say to him
“ I will wait patiently on you Lord. You are my is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
And No matter what the circumstance..no matter how hard the struggle is I will rejoice in the Lord always because God is my strength and my salvation.
Remember the words of Habakkuk 3:17-19. May you find peace knowing How Great God is. He loves you, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and no matter what the circumstance He is with you and will see you through. Psalm 23:4
More hugs and more prayers - remember you are not at these appointments on your own - He is with you :)
