Life…

Eliot

(Please watch this video in its entirety)

Life is to be nourished. Life is to be cherished.

Life is to be protected.

    For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

    My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place.
    When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

    your eyes saw my unformed body.
    All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

    -Psalm 139:13-16

    That was beautiful.

  2. What an amazing story. I would hope that if I was in the same situation, that I would display the faith & love that Eliot’s parents showed.

    I have seen this video probably a dozen times (it’s quite addictive!) over the last year or so. And I can not help but be amazed at LIFE & the truly precious gift that it is. The tears just can’t stop flowing every time I hear the dad’s voice talk to his son. No matter what condition of that little life inside the womb, it is fearfully & wonderfully made. Thank you for helping to share this beautiful story.

    Oh Heather – that was such a beautiful tribute to a precious gift from God. I have a dear friend who was told early in her pregnancy that her baby would most likely not make it till birth. By God’s grace, she chose to carry that beautiful life and she did indeed make it to birth and lived for 3 days. Those parents wouldn’t trade those three days for the world and are a true testament of God’s love and mercy and faithfulness. I count it an honor to know them. Thank you so much for sharing that video. The tears would not stop flowing and it opened up a discussion with my 10 year old about making the right choices in our upcoming election. The sanctity of life DOES matter – far more than how much money we can pad our pockets with. If there is no respect for human life, than nothing else matters – we are no more than animals scrapping out an existence by the law of survival of the fittest. God bless you!
