Someone above wrote that having less hair emphasizes the beauty of your eyes. For what it is worth, after chemo my hair came back curly. I think the color is the same. It is hard to know, though, because I had color applied every 6 weeks for 15 years or so. As it grows, it is straightening out to what I had before all of this started.. What does your radiation oncologist say about what you should expect? I have a distinct line in my axilla. The area that received the radiation has no hair and the area above needs to be shaved on a daily basis. I know our treatments were very different and I had blistering burns under there. I wish I had thought of mascara when my duck fuzz started! You are a bright spot in my day! Your faith is a comfort and a guide to me. I don't imagine that I'll get to meet you in person in this life. When we get to heaven, I'd like to shake your hand and hug you! I don't have any idea why we get the particular challenges that we face in this life. Your writings through all of this have helped me to stay focused on my faith. My sister-in-law had has hers come out three times because of chemo and it's grown back. One time it did take quite awhile. There are some that have problems, but they usually don't grow back at all. My daughter's close friend is one of those. She had a beautiful head of hair before having chemo for breast cancer. That was about 2 years ago. It still hasn't grown back. They gave her a name for the condition, but I can't remember what my daughter said it was. We are still praying that beautiful red hair comes back. And we will be praying that your spot in the front starts growing dark hair as well. Heather, don’t worry about it.
