Overwhelming..

I’m asking God for one thing,
only one thing:
To live with him in his house
my whole life long.
I’ll contemplate his beauty;
I’ll study at his feet.

-Psalms 27:4 (The Message)

This morning, as I sit here and think about all of the things in my life… all that I have been handed and been blessed with…. I am overwhelmed.

I am overwhelmed with Gods goodness.
I am overwhelmed with Gods grace.
I am overwhelmed with my inability to articulate His awesomeness, and His beauty.

I long to sit at His feet and just be.
Just be in in His presence.
I long to lay my head against his chest and feel His heartbeat.

It has been a rough life. Really rough. I don’t know how anyone could handle it without Christ, without His peace and comfort. I don’t know how anyone can face the prospect of losing a child without Him. I dont know how anyone can face cancer without Him. His love is all that I depend on. His grace gives me the strength to face each day.

His promises give me the hope of a new tomorrow.

Whether that be a new tomorrow here on earth, or a new tomorrow sitting at His feet and drinking from the cup in His hand…

I have the promise of a new tomorrow.

And that promise overwhelms me.

I love your comment disclaimer. Heather, hope you are enjoying your new hair. I loved what you had to say. It is very true. I had a moment yesteday with an individual that has such a hardened heart against God and it just appals me that people can so easily choose to disown him.
Thanks for letting us in your life Heather.

God is truly faithful in all things. The thing about actually having Christ in us and with us in the journey is that He doesn’t just give us the strength to get by. He gives us the strength and courage we need to get by and then gives us peace and joy to share with others and encourage them in their journey.

Thank you, Heather, for your sharing. Your walk inspires both my wife and I in our trust and walk with our Lord.
