It just takes one second, one split second decision that can effect so much, yet so many husbands/wives foolishly make the wrong choice. They justify the affair by telling themselves that they aren’t happy, they feel unloved, they need something more.
In the end… Its all about them.
What they don’t realize is that all they need is right in front of them, if they would just turn to Him. Christ can fill all of those voids, and so many more.
If you have made the wrong choice in the past, there is so much hope for you. Even if it cost you your marriage and family, it doesn’t have to cost you your life. Jesus is the master of forgiveness, master of grace… You don’t have to keep up the charade, hiding your sin from everyone. He knows. & He still loves you so very much.
And, in the end, that is all that matters.

It is a great message for ALL… even those that have never made the slip (or fade…), a great reminder to us that our children hear and see everything… even if we think we are able to hide it from them. I posted this video several months ago (I love Casting Crowns) b/c of my strong conviction that our children are watching, listening and learning. This song always kicks me in the gut because it is so true. It happened to my husband. He left me and our children and he left his ministry at our church. For another woman. It is amazing how we all have the same forgiveness from Christ, no matter what we have done, we just need to reach out and take it.
@mipinky: i am so sorry about your family…my heart aches for you…i pray for His rich mercy and healing on you and your children
@heather: i love how God can use our talents to point others to Him…His gift of creativity and artistry is precious…the lyrics/video speak such great Truths so simply! when i sing ‘be careful little eyes’ now i am reminded those words are for me, too

I normally don’t comment here but I am a long time reader:-) This post hit home because it happened to our family. After years of the affairs and the abuse I took my kids and moved from Florida to Oklahoma to start over…no we didn’t have family in Oklahoma but I knew God called me here even if it didn’t make sense:-) It totally does now lol Anyway, I just wanted to let those who have been through this that there IS peace and the quickest way to freedom and out of the bondage of bitterness is to forgive..it really isn’t for them…it truly is for us. God is amazing and even if you don’t feel like it you WILL laugh again..you WILL be happy and those nights that you feel alone…just let God hold you:-) He is my everything!

LOVE this song!!! Trying to figure out how to sneak this into my lesson plans in class
at church Sunday, the pastor was in Matthew and taught on Jesus message on divorce. It does make a mess, and is so hard on all involved, even if there is no infidelity.
God is waking me up, to His word and His purpose for my life. Thank you for posting this

Hey Heather,
I love that photo of Easton! She is growing into a beautiful young lady. She looks more like her Mom every day. How about that? God bless you and your family.
Much love,
Bob & Betty
:tearing up: This post touched my heart as I recently learned that my husband had violated my trust with another woman :*( It’s a daily journey to learn to trust, forgive and believe again, but the Lord is good.

As a P&W singer with a hubby that leads, this is a MUST to view – weekly, daily if necessary! I posted it on my blog (was having trouble finding the direct link on GodTube) so I could share it with my pastor! Thanks!
Crud, Heather – this was supposed to be a comment on your “Worship is not…” post. My apologies for the apparent inappropriateness.
It’s so important that as wives, we keep our relationship with God on topside and serve, love, and obey our husbands. The enemy wants to not only attack our marriages, but destroy them and render us ineffective. He wants to destroy our testimony so that we won’t have the power of influence to help other people. We must pray for our husbands!

This song really hits home for me and is one of my favorites. About 8 years ago (after having 2 children) my husband and I divorced. It’s so true — you let that one little thought in that says you are not getting what you deserve and it mushrooms. Thankfully, God had another plan for us. We remarried 6 years ago, have since had 4 more children, and are very much in love and dedicated to one another. Thanks for sharing this video/song.
