This song really hits home for me and is one of my favorites. About 8 years ago (after having 2 children) my husband and I divorced. It's so true -- you let that one little thought in that says you are not getting what you deserve and it mushrooms. Thankfully, God had another plan for us. at church Sunday, the pastor was in Matthew and taught on Jesus message on divorce. It does make a mess, and is so hard on all involved, even if there is no infidelity. I normally don't comment here but I am a long time reader:-) This post hit home because it happened to our family. After years of the affairs and the abuse I took my kids and moved from Florida to Oklahoma to start over...no we didn't have family in Oklahoma but I knew God called me here even if it didn't make sense:-) It totally does now lol Anyway, I just wanted to let those who have been through this that there IS peace and the quickest way to freedom and out of the bondage of bitterness is to forgive..it really isn't for them...it truly is for us. God is amazing and even if you don't feel like it you WILL laugh again..you WILL be happy and those nights that you feel alone...just let God hold you:-) He is my everything! This song always kicks me in the gut because it is so true. It happened to my husband. He left me and our children and he left his ministry at our church. For another woman. It is amazing how we all have the same forgiveness from Christ, no matter what we have done, we just need to reach out and take it.

It is a great message for ALL… even those that have never made the slip (or fade…), a great reminder to us that our children hear and see everything… even if we think we are able to hide it from them. I posted this video several months ago (I love Casting Crowns) b/c of my strong conviction that our children are watching, listening and learning.
