As most of you have noticed, there have been some changes here at Especially Heather. First, I am doing my best to post daily! You can pick yourself up off of the floor now.
When I was at SheSpeaks, I attended a session on “Defining Your Blogs Purpose” hosted by the ever so lovely sisters The Nester and Chatting at the Sky. It really got me thinking about the purpose of this blog, and the changes I see for its future. For example you may have noticed that I took down BlogHer ads… I had debated doing it for awhile, but the final “aha” moment for me was when I wrote a long “pour your heart out” deep post, and in the sidebar blogher had put an ad for “Dance Your — Off”. Just didnt feel right to me. So I nixed it. (With much prompting from the big guy). That is just one example.
As for the rest of my “bloggy purpose”, that is where you come in. There are going to be some changes coming in the next few months, and I need your help deciding on what those should/shouldn’t be. Please take a moment and fill out the survey for Especially Heather. Your likes and dislikes regarding design, content, etc. Be totally and completely honest with your answers, I want my blog to be an encouragement to you!

Wow, Heather, I cannot imagine your blog being any better, but I will take the survey. One of these days I’ve got to figure out how to do this blogging stuff for myself so I don’t have to hire out when I need a change. Off to survey!
