Fall is one of my favorite times of year, second only to Christmas. I love the smell of pumpkins and watching the one tree change color in my back yard..(downfall of living in Florida) I love to open my sliding glass doors in the evenings and let the cooler air come through the house . (And the prospect of not running the AC at 73 really does my husbands heart (and bank account) good!) And I love having coffee on Saturday mornings with my husband on our back lanai.
It is a time of change. A time of reflection. A time of shaking off the old, and anticipating the new.
That brings to mind this verse in Titus
“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” – Titus 3:5
So today, in the midst of my activities.. I will usher in renewal. I will look back on what this last year has brought to me, both good and bad, and anticipate what is around the corner for my life.
I will hope with anxious anticipation.

Yes, I’m with you. This is beautifully expressed, and I’ll enter that renewal and refreshment with you, dear sister.

What an uplifting sentence this is, Heather! Thank you for giving it to your readers today! Have a wonderful autumn… it’s one of my fave seasons too, second only to winter.
Well said Heather!

We’ve been able to keep our windows open and A/C off for almost two weeks now… the fresh air is intoxicating at night! I can’t believe how much better I sleep when the windows are open. I wish it would stay like this for a couple more months!

I also love Autumn and Christmas. I do NOT look forward to winter. It is just too cold here. I’ll bet Christmas in Florida is wonderful. I am praying hard that we have no blizzards around Christmas as all my children will be here, along with my Mother and sister. This was a beautiful post. God Bless!

I love autumn too Heather (although it is sometimes hard to find it here in South Texas)- and renewal. It fills me with such joy to know that He makes all things new – even me!!

Autumn is also my favorite time of year. Having grown up in Michigan (and living here again the past five years) I never grow tired of the “color season”. The reds, golds, oranges…stunning. Indeed it is a perfect time to reflect on change, renewal.
