Em-O-Lantern

Em-O-lantern

When we asked Em what she wanted to be this year for halloween {yes, we allow them to dress up for Halloween} her first response was “Hello Kitty”, but needless to say there are not many “skinny as a rail” & tall as a tree hello kitty costumes on ebay {or anywhere for that matter}. Because that idea was a bust, her second choice was a pumpkin. My mom got creative at Target and bought a toddler jack-o-lantern costume, some orange and black sock tights, a black t-shirt and a pumpkin hat {all sold separately} and Viola! A very skinny & tall Em-O-Lantern costume! She sat in front of the mirror and just laughed at herself! It was awesome to see her so happy and giggly! My older two are “too old” for costumes… {we will see… they always say that and then right before Halloween day the want some extravagant costume!}

What are your kiddos going as?

We are all dressing up as the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2. It should be fun!

Sooo cute and sooo creative of your mom. I’m glad she was so thrilled with herself.

VERY cute! My only child is 19, so it’s been a while since he wanted to dress up! I miss it! Myself, I usually don black kitty cat ears and tail, and I wear a black sweatsuit when I hand out candy to all the neighborhood trick-or-treaters! :)

Okay. She is adorable! I thought my girl was skinny (she complains daily that nothing fits!!). Very cute costume! We are being: 1)fashion model 2)bat 3) bunny rabbit.

She is soooo cute. My daugther, Samanatha is 16 and even though she will not dress up for Halloween she is dressing up all week for high school homecoming. One day is going to be 60’s day with tie die shirt, demin skirt and go-go boots. Another day she will dress up like a bumble bee from the B Movie for character day.

Padme from Star Wars. The peasant clothing seems to be easy enough to work out. Hopefully! It’s the braid in the hair that has me frightened!

What a sweetheart. Her own unique, beautiful person. Reflecting her Creator’s beauty. Thank you, Lord, for your wise and generous blessings…
