Heather, I am praying for you. Giving the "control" to God is such a hard thing to do, but there is so much freedom there. I struggle with this daily.....for 2 years now it has been a very real struggle for me as I have wrestled w/God over losing my dad (he's alive physically, but not mentally) to Alzheimers disease...he's only 60 years old and has been in a nursing home for 2 years. walking through this valley has been very painful, and probably will be for quite some time, but I can honestly say that God has grown me in so many ways and I know him more intimately now than I did 2 years ago. I see him as Sovereign over EVERYTHING and know that He has my best interests at heart. It's at that place of being empty, w/nowhere else to turn that HE meets us. There's a beautiful song called The Valley of Vision and it's a sweet reminder of the Truth that He is with us in the valley. I could go on and on, but I just want to tell you that I think you are an amazing woman of God and I am learning so much from your blog...i stumbled upon it and I know that it wasn't a mistake. thank you for being real in your blogging and for sharing your heart.......I will continue to pray for you. In Him, ~patty r.

What a beautiful song. Thanks for sharing that; I've never heard it before, and think I will need to get that on my iPod. Awesome, encouraging words!
