Todays Plans:
- Heart Cath/Biopsy to rule out rejection
- Placement of Central Venous Catheter
- CRRT Dialysis
- Intubation
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) she is at a 3. Today’s procedures are very high risk because the virus has attacked every organ in her body. Her lungs are not fully healed and re-intubation is going to be tricky. She has to be heavily sedated for the dialysis tube that will be placed in her neck. She will be on continual dialysis from anywhere upto 6 days-6 weeks. She will be intubated and heavily sedated until they stop the dialysis. They are going to do a heart cath/biopsy because her heart function has slightly decreased which will tell us whether her heart is in rejection or just overworked from the virus. Her liver is still enlarged but that always happens when she gets sick.
Prayer Requests:
- That her body would cooperate in the OR.
- That they do not have to use contrast because her creatinine levels are high
- Peace and security for our family.
Many of you have emailed asking how you can help and honestly your prayers are enough. If you would like to do more, I am going to be placing a paypal button on my sidebar for those of you who are so inclined to give, we really appreciate the financial support.
Thank you for caring about us.

Dear Heather,
Please know you and your family are in my prayers. It just doesn’t seem like much….. but going to the One who holds you, with tears in my eyes, asking for peace and comfort for you and healing for you precious daughter is all I can do. And yet it really is a great thing and the best thing to pray. And not because of me, but because He is great and big and loving … so it is a wonderful thing when we can pray for each other.
Love and a {{HUG}},
Debbie

This is the first time I’ve been to your site or heard about you or Emma, but I will pray. Pray fervently. For you, for her, for everyone involved in her life and her care.
Thanks for the update. I will keep praying. May God hold you tightly in His loving arms and guide you through this time. May He shower you with peace and the grace to stand under the pressure. May He abundantly provide all of your needs even before you think to ask. And for Emma, I pray that God will heal her from this illness and restore her to you and your home quickly.
We are praying for you and your family Heather!
I join the community of saints by grace in praying for you and yours, beautiful Heather….

Heather, my family and I are praying for you and your sweet Emma. May the Lord bless and sustain you.
Heather and Mark,
We are praying for Emma and your family. We are so sorry. Refuge Calvary Chapel will be praying day and night for God to move, to heal, to restore. Ps 41:3
My words are insufficient–what is there to say when I see a mother and her baby and her entire family enduring moments such as these?
But I can pray and seek the face of God, and beg that He graciously show all of you His love and mercy and hope and wisdom. And rest. And peace.
