Tuesday Morning Update-3/2/10

They just finished rounds. She looks so much more comfortable and stable today than she did yesterday. Her blood pressure was 169/110 yesterday and now they are 107/66 today. She is going to have a blood transfusion (1 unit) today. She is on 24 hour dialysis (Continual Renal Replacement Therapy CRRT). Her BUN and Creatinine are lower today (kidney function) We are still waiting for the heart biopsy to come back. It should be here around 4. Neurology has been consulted just because she was down for 3 minutes yesterday, but she had a blood pressure and CPR so they do not think she has any damage. She had “purposeful movement” after the cath lab incident yesterday so that is a good sign. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) she was at a 2 yesterday evening and today she is at a 4. She is not out of the woods yet, but she is atleast on the right trail.

From a mothers heart, it is hard to see her like this, but I know deep down that this is what is best for her. I have been having a lot of quiet time with her and the Lord, and honestly I can say that I have more peace today than I have in the last week. I have argued with God a lot, but I have also felt his hand on my heart through this ordeal.

Hey, Heather. Just wanted you to know we are praying for you. I have also told a bit of Emma’s story and asked the staff here at Dawson McAllister Productions to keep you all in their prayers and on their prayer list. We were lifting you guys up earlier today, agreeing together for God’s mercy, His will, for the doctors’ wisdom in treating her and for Emma’s complete healing and health as well as strength for all of you, her family. Bless you guys.

Thank you for the update. My husband and I continue to pray for grace and peace for you and healing for Emma.
I have passed your story on to a dear friend of mine whose granddaughter has just gone through a very similar illness. Everything you are experiencing happened to Ari…only her heart stopped 6 times. I tell you this as she is ok now!! She is back to being a lively 2 year old. God is so good and His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness!
