i have a secret..

I make jewelry….
It started as a way to deal with my stress, and then it turned into an obsession. My mother in law got me started when she came to visit last year, and now that she is living in the same city I am…

I can not stop.
Literally
Can. Not. Stop.

Here is just a teeny tiny sample of what we have done:

{This is not all of it, there are more containers under the table!}

Back to my secret.

We have a store in an antique mall called “Beaded Bliss” with over $4000 in inventory. We tried an Etsy shop, but with the madness that is my life, I was afraid that someone would buy something and then I would get caught in the hospital with Emma and would not be able to ship it! All of the proceeds of the store go to an “Emma Fund” that we have set up, due to her 2 million dollar insurance cap almost being met and all.

Beading is how I release my insurmountable stress. When I start to make a piece of jewelry, I forget about what is weighing me down and I get caught up in creating.

I would love to know how you relieve your stress… :)

    Worship and exercise… Worship puts my attention back on Who it belongs to. Exercise just makes me feel better about everything.

    As a total etsy addict, I would totally understand if you couldn’t fill my order due to Emma’s health. Just put ample warnings on your site and a link to your blog and that would likely suffice. (Also, probably a disclaimer in the confirmation email.)

    Take a hot bath or read is my drug of choice. Truly Lovely! Oh, I love to crochet, too.

  7. I read. Mostly other peoples blogs online. Wish I was more creative.
    I love it and still pray for you and Emma and your family.
    Still plugging away at blogging and writing as the She Speaks grads encourage me through their work!

    i read…books, magazines, blogs, facebook. I also journal and when I have time I take a hot bath. Walks are great but don’t always fit into my scheudle; i know they should b/c regular exercise would be so beneficial to me in all areas.
