I make jewelry….
It started as a way to deal with my stress, and then it turned into an obsession. My mother in law got me started when she came to visit last year, and now that she is living in the same city I am…
I can not stop.
Literally
Can. Not. Stop.
Here is just a teeny tiny sample of what we have done:

Here is what my garage looks like:

Back to my secret.
We have a store in an antique mall called “Beaded Bliss” with over $4000 in inventory. We tried an Etsy shop, but with the madness that is my life, I was afraid that someone would buy something and then I would get caught in the hospital with Emma and would not be able to ship it! All of the proceeds of the store go to an “Emma Fund” that we have set up, due to her 2 million dollar insurance cap almost being met and all.
Beading is how I release my insurmountable stress. When I start to make a piece of jewelry, I forget about what is weighing me down and I get caught up in creating.
I would love to know how you relieve your stress…

Worship and exercise… Worship puts my attention back on Who it belongs to. Exercise just makes me feel better about everything.
Oh man, I love love love those necklaces and would totally buy some of them if you had an open Etsy store!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
These are gorgeous! I used to relieve stress by scrapbooking, but now that I have a 10 month old, that doesn’t happen much!
These are really nice…I stress eat…not good…or I play solitaire…better
As a total etsy addict, I would totally understand if you couldn’t fill my order due to Emma’s health. Just put ample warnings on your site and a link to your blog and that would likely suffice. (Also, probably a disclaimer in the confirmation email.)
Take a hot bath or read is my drug of choice. Truly Lovely! Oh, I love to crochet, too.
I read. Mostly other peoples blogs online. Wish I was more creative.
I love it and still pray for you and Emma and your family.
Still plugging away at blogging and writing as the She Speaks grads encourage me through their work!
be blessed
Lisa
You are very artistic with a good eye for colors and shapes . . . beautiful jewelry. Sure wish you were clear across the country! Do let us know if there is any way to buy online . . . I’d be the first in line! And what a perfect cause . . . God bless you and your family!
I am in awe of your organization of your beading supplies! I only wish I could be as well organized with my cooking supplies.
i read…books, magazines, blogs, facebook. I also journal and when I have time I take a hot bath. Walks are great but don’t always fit into my scheudle; i know they should b/c regular exercise would be so beneficial to me in all areas.
Pray, eat, edit images in Photoshop, watch polarbear cam at San Diego Zoo. Used to do stained glass and make jewelry. Could get lost in it.
