The Goal Isn’t Perfection…

Dear Lord, please help me remember that the goal isn’t perfection, it’s simply to be in an intimate relationship with you each day. Please help me remember in the busyness of my day, to seek you first. There is no better place for me than in your arms. Help me stay focused on you instead of my surroundings; for you are my refuge, my strength, my heart. You are a firm foundation and anything built on you shall not crumble, please help me build my relationships on you. I confess that I havent trusted you, but I trust you now. I long for an intimate relationship with you, Lord. Touch my family, touch my life; breathe life into us again. Make your path known, God.

Root out all my bitterness, cleanse my heart. You know me more intimately than I know myself. Work wonders on my heart and heal the past hurts. Remove the guilt. Help me know that I did everything that I could for Emma. I did everything I could for my other two children while she was here. Continue to guide me with Easton and Eli’s lives. Give me wisdom to protect their hearts. Give me peace. Peace in knowing that Emma is safe in Your loving arms. Remove all of the hurt, anger and most of all the guilt. Remove anything that hinders my vision of Your vision for my life.

Above all else, Lord, I live for you. Keep me focused Lord, keep me from going in front of you and help not to lag behind you. Help me know that you are not only a good God, but you are a sovereign God as well.

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” -Psalms 51:2
