First let me tell you about Emma’s Clinic appointment. She passed through with flying colors ;) She use to have a gallop when you listened to her heart (gallop is an understatement, more like a clydesdale horse!) which the doctors found the second time she was in heart failure from trasplant related coronary artery disease. Well, its gone! So all in all it was a wonderful visit, and we couldnt be more happy! Now onto my post for the day:
of what mothers contribute to their lives.
I spent Mothers Day with my family and my parents, and it was perfect. We grilled, swam, laughed and just spent quality time together. My mother reminded me that this time last year I could barely speak, but I could sing! How amazing that was, and how thankful I was to have that gift intact when I came out of surgery. I have learned alot over the past year, but do you know that one of the hardest and most valuable lessons I have learned is to not take today for granted, because none of us is promised a tomorrow. Each of us has to get up each day, and live today like it might be our last whether we be sick, or in perfect health. Its a choice not to yell when you have every right to. It is a choice not to get angry when Legos are strewn all over the floor. Its a choice to smile when you feel like frowning.
Its a choice to take time out of your busy day to praise your children in their accomplishments, no matter how tiny or insignificant. I have three little bodies that amaze me each and every day. I am so thankful that I am here to take pride in those accomplishments, and that I have been given a second chance, so to speak.

But honestly, all of us are given second chances with each new day that the Lord gives us.
It is up to us how we use them ;)
How are you going to use today?
